What can i say about Clarks Crossing?..... To sum it up, it has got to have the worst customer service that I have ever experienced. Their advertised "Best steak sandwich in Saskatoon" was to put it politely below sub par. Did we complain about the lack luster sandwich? No we did not, instead we decided to bite the bullet and take it home (maybe the dog would enjoy it) When our server came by and saw the 3/4 full plate sitting on the table, did she ask what the issue might be? No she did not, she simply asked if we were done and walked away before we had a chance to ask for it to be packed up and threw it in the garbage. The garbage! can you believe that? When i commented on the fact that she just tossed our food in the garbage she instantly became combative and argumentative. I have never seen this type of behavior in all my years working in the restaurant industry. Once I realized there was no reasoning with a person like this i asked to speak with the manager ( not something i enjoy doing however i felt that this experience warranted a managers perspective) a few minutes later a woman came out and with a very standoffish attitude demanded to know what 'my problem' was? Are you kidding me? No wonder the staff acts in this manner their leader is advocating it! She went on to tell me that it is a dine in special only etc etc... trying to justify why her server threw it out. but contradicted herself many times throughout her incoherent rant. To make a long story short (well somewhat) The manager of Clark's Crossing would rather lose a customer forever as well as good word of mouth over a measly $8.00! (Yes folks 8.00 freakin dollars!) Just so she could be 'right' and trust me the 'right' term is very loose. So, if your are looking to go for lunch or a quick beer dont bother wasting your hard earned money in a place that could give a crap about the people who keep them afloat. Ps to our disgruntled server... Had you have done the right thing, that $8.00 would have gone in your pocket. A loss I'm sure you're...
Read moreone of the most terrible places in saskatoon i have ever been to! service was ATROCIOUS! me and my wife waited for exactly 8 minutes before anyone came to even ask us if we wanted anything and when they finally did it was "Oh hi, what do you want tonight?" and that was the beginning of a terrible evening... the food took an hour to get, and we received no service after giing our order for another drink or anything, i had to approach the bartender who just looked at me with an entitled cold stare until i asked for a round of drinks, i asked why the waitress hasn't come back and what the hold up with the food was "i'm not kitchen i'm bar" well ok then! when we did get the food the supposed best steak sandwhich in saskatoon was worse then Smitty's (And hint hint: Smitty's steak sandwhich is pretty freakin bad) like the other reviewer our food was thrown out without us even being asked, when i asked why i couldn't take home the food i paid for i was answered with a "We don't do that". i will not be going there and i warn all others NOT TO BRING CLARK'S CROSSING YOUR...
Read moreGood atmosphere and friendly staff. I would give 5 stars except we ate here tonight for the first time and were very disappointed with the burgers. The burger I had was $1.00 than others and the party was supposed to be “stuffed full” with cheese. There was a hole in the burger but the cheese was pretty much non-existent. When mentioned the nice waitress said she would tell the kitchen and commented “oh I know, they need to do better”. Thanks..? At most there was 3 slivers of cheese (slivers you would get from shredded cheese). My boyfriend had the mushroom mozzarella burger described in menu as “piled high with sautéed mushrooms”. Nope. There was 6, maybe 8 small slices of mushrooms. Highly disappointed in the food because it was nothing like described in the menu. Will stick to just drinks here as we usually do. I took pictures of my burger but not sure how to add them...
