I went twice. The first time was okay and while there I asked about bringing my granddaughter for her birthday to sit in the car table. All good. Reserved the car table.
When we got there for said birthday dinner I tried to make it a big deal for my granddaughter but there was no engagement from the waitress. We could see other kids with colouring pages but the waitress said they have to be careful with the car so no crayons for her… fair.
We were given a drink and then ignored for over half an hour. When I got up a few times to try to see who was waiting on us, another customer pointed across the restaurant and told me that’s where the bathrooms are. I said all I’d like to do is eat. That worked we were able to order.
My granddaughters “kids meal” of cheese macaroni was huge and very hot so I made her wait. She was out of drink and there was no flagging anyone down to rectify that, so I had to pour my drink into her cup. Keep in mind we are sitting right next to the till.
I was finally able to ask for her to have a drink and my empty water glass was not even on the radar. I was pretty thirsty since I gave mine away.
My granddaughter didn’t want a kids meal dotted with huge pepper flakes (5 year olds!). I told her to leave the black pieces and eat the rest, and she told me it had no taste and she didn’t like it. I thought she was being fussy, how can a five year old critique food properly, but she was right, it was bland. we asked for something else for her. When I asked if it would be on my bill, I was told, “well, it’s a preference thing.” I suggested it wasn’t good and after side conversations it was removed from my bill.
I asked if we could take some colouring sheets on our way out since she wasn’t able to colour earlier. She came back with one sheet. Maybe there’s limits.
It was clear the waitress wasn’t interested in us at all and I would assume she doesn’t like her job much. You could really feel bad culture in the air. I...
Read moreTuesday July 30th 2025 My fiancé and I came to Saskatoon for a little get away on our holidays. We pondered on where to eat for supper, as we wanted something different than just the casual quick trip to McDonald’s or something. My father highly recommended this place and I saw a rave of a video review from Clayton Kroeker on Facebook. So we thought; what the hell, 50’s style dinner sounded cool enough! We walked in and were immediately greeted with smiles and a welcoming attitude. We were sat down and within about 5 minutes we had made up our mind and were ready to eat. Our server came over and took our order, which she was a delight to speak to. We waited about 10 minutes for our food, (which was quite quick I thought for being a supper rush) Anyways my fiancé got a poutine dog which she thought was amazing but comically messy as expected! I ordered a Cajun chicken alfredo. (the mustang and sally) I took about one to two bites before I hollered our waitress over, scared as to what I was about to complaint about; she asked is everything alright? I immediately told her; please go tell your cook this is undoubtedly the most amazing Alfredo I’ve ever eaten. The look of relief on her face when all I wanted to tell her was how incredibly pleased I was with our food. I then learnt that I must’ve been lucky as the cook at the time; (Eric) SO SORRY IF I SPELT THAT WRONG has been complimented in the past about his otherworldly Alfredo and Mac and cheese. Needless to say our supper tonight was a 4000/10. Couldn’t have been any better! Even my poutine was elegantly delicious. I’m sorry I didn’t get our servers name but she was fantastic as could be. This place is an absolute MUST to have a bite to eat at. From an absolute pasta maniac. You guys kicked ASS. I will be back on our next trip to Saskatoon. It was an...
Read moreWe came today at 5:30. We were sat down by a window. I asked for a kids menu to the hostess. She gave my 3 year old an adult menu. Meh whatever. We waited over 15 minutes before our waitress came to introduce herself and several more minutes to get the kids menu. She offered crayons. They literally never came the entire meal. She even said she forgot about us towards the start of the meal. We ordered around 5:55. Food did not come until 6:50. She said it took so long because there was a sudden push for orders when she put it in, but it went from packed when we got there to super quiet when we left. I think she forgot to put the order In, as she had already forgotten us once. She also forgot to get us vinegar and it never showed up. She did come by once to check on us; but we had to go to another waitress to get the cheque and box as we waited at least ten minutes for her to come check on us again. We almost left when the food finally came as we had a 7pm leaving time. My 3 year old was starving and we had wanted to go water sliding at our hotel. We didn’t finish up until almost 7:30 due to the amount of waiting and slow service. We almost always give a tip. We did not due to literally feeling like a complete afterthought. She was nice enough, not rude, but just literally the worst service I’ve had in a long time. The other waitress at the end was lovely and helpful. The cookie was delicious and massive and helped our daughter be happy at the end as she really wanted to go back to the pool...
