Nutana Bakery — Restaurant in Saskatoon

I'm disappointed. I used to love this bakery, go every chance I get. Then covid happened, times changed, they were closed for awhile and I wondered when they'd ever return. They did and I was extremely excited. Somehow though things changed and it wasn't the same. Everytime I'm actually available to go out and about they are closed, and if I consider ordering online if I don't order at 8 forget the so called 10am deadline I'm already waiting 2 days and who knows what can happen in two days. On top of that a $12 delivery fee, get Uber eats or something because it would be less than half that. Then your order is packed at 8 am and you don't get it til 2pm it's practically a day old by then, they aren't fresh at all. Oh and to top that off that two day wait, guess what I got the flu! So I gave away what I could but I had to throw it all away because I couldn't eat it neither could my kid. Not that it would matter because my kids mother who placed the order for me since I was at work she told me the meat pie she had shrank since the last time she had it and it wasn't as good as it once was. All in all this is a place you need to go in person when it's actually first open and enjoy it immediately or you don't appreciate it. Which is unfortunate because not everyone has that luxury. It pains me to say but this isn't the first instance but it might just be the last for this customer. I have never had anything bad to say about nutana bakery but I don't think I'll be back anytime...

I’ve always had such great experiences of this place, as it around the corner from where I live and the lady working is always such a pleasure. However, today my experience was awful. Unsure if the older gentleman with the frown and rude tone of voice was the owner, regardless when asked which donut was recently baked as it smelt so good in there. He replied with “ every donut is baked today what kind of question is that! Accompanied by a negative tone of voice and body language to match. I was very uncomfortable, and the look on my husbands face was confused as he was waiting outside with our dog near the window observing his behaviour. I then replied with, “ I didn’t mean to offend you, I just wanted to know” I wanted to run out immediately, I regret buying the items I have received. I will unfortunately not be back because of this altercation. It is a shame because I really enjoyed my previous trips here. - my review is just my experience with the older gentleman, maybe he was having a bad day, maybe he was angry before my arrival. Customer service is underwhelming as his awful mood...

I went into this little shop today in search of a cinnamon bun. They have them! They tasted amazing. The older gentleman who helped me was so kind. The aroma inside was worth the drive alone. I thought to myself when seeing the price tag. 7.25 is a lot for a cinnamon bun however if it’s delicious it’s worth it. I asked for 4. The total price was $7... they are only a $1.25 a piece. They have doughnuts better than any Tim Hortons could provide and for cheaper. Fresh. I want to go back to try more.
