First time at the restaurant, wasn't sure if we could seat ourselves or had to wait since there was no line. When someone finally came back to the front they seemed confused why we were there. After we found a table the server brought our menus and said they had specials but did not explain the specials. Told us there was a special on the pints as well and i asked which beers were on special she said all the beers on tap as if I should have known that, since it was my first time there and we were not sitting at the bar I did not know what the beers were so I asked if there was a beer list or did we have to goto the bar? She then roughly explained the beer and i didn't seem like she knew much about them. After ordering the beers and she brought them to us my sister (who has a sellfish allergy) asked if they deep fried shrimp and calimary in a seperate deep frier. Seemed like she wasnt sure so she just said no so my sister ordered a burger with no sauce and i ordered wings and asked if there was any sides for the wings like blue cheese and carrots and she said she had no blue cheese(who serves wings without blue cheese????) So i just got celery. Food came out fast but my sisters burger was loaded with mayo so she sent it back, her soup was also room temp but she ate it anyways. I LOVED this place but we received the menu and upon ordering were told that nothing on the menu was available right now????? I wish I was but I'm not making this up. So, obviously, we will not be back. As an edit: they did have their philopino menu as well as the regular one they gave us that we couldn't order from. I'm assuming they had the food for that menu but didn't bother asking. Why give us the regular menu if we can't order from it?
Edit: this place still sucks. Jusy stopped by again for the first time in over a year and they don't have a cook right now. Is that not illegal for a drinking...
Read moreA Filipino restaurant masquerading as a typical pub/restaurant. In a good way. They have some typical pub food such as poutine, dry ribs and burgers. But they also have a variety of real Filipino dishes at fairly reasonable prices The Filipino drinking staple of bbq pork on a stick wax juicy and well flavored. The sweet and sour pompano (fish) was really nice with the zing of ginger in the sauce. Finally we had chicken inasal which is roasted 1/4 chicken, rice and an egg with a very nice ginger laced papaya slaw. On weekends they have live music and often without a cover charge. Definitely recommend for a different experience...
