I've ordered from Oomori several times and their sushi is the bomb. I ordered again tonight through skipthedishes, as a treat. I watched the tracker and was astonished as three different drivers reached the restraunt and then the tracker reset and the delivery time was moved back. I contacted skip which was no help so I then contacted the restraunt, who were more than understanding and kind to the frustrated, sobbing girl with low blood sugar on the phone. The lady I spoke to explained that the skip driver had brought my order back in and said he couldn't deliver it, this proceeded to happen two more times. I hung up briefly to deal with skip again and Oomori proceeded to call me back and offer to deliver my order themselves. Unfortunately, it was nearly an hour and a half after I originally ordered and it was becoming unsafe for me to delay eating anymore, so I ended up cancelling the order, but their patience and genuine desire to help will have me back for sure, though definitely not...

The restaurant was pleasant and our server seemed very eager to give us a good service at the beginning. We were the only table for a while, and our drinks, appetizer and sashimi platter showed up promptly and were very well presented. However, my husband and I each found a fish bone in our salmon sashimi. We finished the rest of the meal and proceeded to wait for at least 20 minutes but before someone at the sushi bar caught our eye and told our server to come over, who was right there next to her the whole time but never looked our way. There was only one other table at the restaurant. We told her about the bones in the salmon and her excuse was that "they make everything themselves", and gave us a 10% discount. Our concern was not about the bill. These were substantial bones, that could have done a lot of harm to an unsuspecting person....

It's always good when the food is the best thing about a restaurant. But it's the entire experience that I think we're all looking for. And for this restaurant the service was lackluster. But the biggest issue I have with Japanese restaurants or anything they don't have or offer healthier options. I'm a health nut and I don't eat farm salmon there's lots of good reasons for it but any Japanese restaurants like it has an option for wild caught salmon. You pay a lot more for it but it's worth everything. The atmosphere as well was nice coming in but it had three TVs for constantly on and I have a lot of problems taking my attention off useless things like that. I don't want a dining and restaurant having TVs doesn't make any sense to me how's that a sports bar I'd understand not a restaurant I didn't get the keg. Anyway I...

It is been years the store here was closed since the last time I visited. It was New Island Express, and now become a new Japanese restaurant. I have to say, this is the best Japanese restaurant in Saskatoon. Price around $14-25 person with delicious food and delicated design and planting, everything worth. Also, it is full of flavour for each dish, very fresh! If you want to order some meals for personal, you don’t have to worry it is not enough food for you, it is definitely worth the price and tastes so good. I wish more people know and come to have a try!

Fantastic sushi restaurant actually one of the best in Stoon I’ll say. The sukiyaki was a true standout, bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was incredibly inviting, with cozy yet modern decor that made me feel right at home. Whether you're a sushi aficionado or just looking for a memorable dining experience, this place is definitely worth a visit.
