Press'd Sandwich Shop — Restaurant in Saskatoon

I came in in the middle of the afternoon and there was absolutely no one else there except the guy behind the counter so I'm not going to rate this based on atmosphere because that would be unfair. Place was clean and the decor is actually pretty good for a sandwich shop. Even the washroom was relatively clean.

The guy behind the counter did his best but it seemed to me he was not experienced at what he was doing. I'm not sure if he was new at this or if there was some other hiccup but the service could have been better. At least he made the sandwich right.

As for the food the sandwich was actually very good. I was impressed by the choices of bread that were available. You rarely see dark rye in a sandwich shop so I was pleasantly impressed by that. I just had lettuce tomato and onion on my donair sandwich but have to say that the lettuce was probably the best I've ever had in a sandwich shop. It was whole leaf instead of shredded which may seem like a small detail but it's the small details like that make all the difference. The tomato was similarly high quality.

Went into press'd and ordered two sandwiches and the girl behind the counter made me swipe my gift card twice because she said the first transaction didn't go through, I asked to see a printout of the transaction but she was rude and just assured me that it didn't process and made me swipe my card again, it did in fact charge the first time so now I double paid. I went back in on Sunday to try and get a refund but she said that she couldn't refund me, again was rude, didn't even try to offer any other suggestions she just kept telling me she would make me free sandwiches, which they aren't even free because I already paid for them two days ago. So I didn't want to argue with her any further so I ordered one boss and one grilled cheese. The boss was fine but the grilled cheese the bread wasn't even warm and the cheese wasn't melted. Terrible experience and I'll never be going...

I never write reviews, but this was genuinely the most frustrating service I have ever had. I placed an order for pickup through the company website.

When I showed up to collect it, the doors were locked. I could see employees inside. I had to wait 10 minute for another customer to also come up and knock only to be told there had some sort of large order and could not help us.

When i walked in and said I had already paid for an order, and if they cannot make it I want a refund. I was told no, that its third party (through their own site) and I had to contact customer service.

I understand things happen, but locking the door without note and inability to provide a refund is beyond frustrating. The worker was useless and did nothing except stare at me blankly.

If you order from here, do not pay...
