My initial impression of this restaurant was largely negative. However, throughout the last few months, the service and experience at this location has changed and greatly improved.
Several months back, this location was consistently low or out of stock of certain ingredients. It was clear that the staff were not overly concerned with maintaining an adequately-filled frontline. During one visit, I ended up receiving the bottom of the barrel leftover scraps of pork. The meat looked dry and inadequately portioned. The same issue has occurred with the coleslaw - scraping what little was left from the bottom of the container. It seemed as if the staff were either not prepping enough backups, or were too lazy to refill the containers and give you a proper portion.
This particular location was once very stingy with their toppings. They added so little of the salsa that the burritos were dry, and you couldn’t taste any kick despite requesting the spiciest of the three options. Overall, it was a huge hit or miss depending on who was working that time of day. On a side note, I never understood why the “big ass” wrap is $15? BarBurrito offers the same 14-inch tortilla for $5 less. It’s a crazy jump in price from Quesada’s 12-inch to 14-inch size.
Lately, however, upon visiting this location more consistently, I have changed my opinion for the better. My boyfriend and I have been increasingly satisfied by the service and quality of food. The burritos have become fuller, and the quantity of vegetables has become much more generous than before. My boyfriend's large burrito could easily have passed for the bigger size, and was almost too much for him to finish. You definitely get a better deal for your money now. However, the refried beans are way too dry for my liking. They are so dehydrated that the employees have no choice but to spread a thin layer onto your tortilla like peanut butter. I can't see anybody preferring their beans this way. Refried beans are supposed to be gooey and add moisture to the burrito. However, this is likely not the fault of the staff, but rather the management and trainers. I also don’t enjoy the abundance of rice that is added to the burritos. I’ve witnessed employees adding nearly 3-4 heaping scoops into a large wrap. It’s definitely a little bizarre, as you end up with half of the burrito with just rice. Despite a couple of setbacks, it’s refreshing to see a business change for the better, and this location will be receiving more of our...
Read moreI visited Quesada a couple of weeks ago and it was amazing! Great food, amazing customer service, and a short wait time!! I arrived at 8.30 or something and online it said that they were open until 9, but they closed at 8.30. (or was it 6 and 7? I can not recall) The young lady who was working was super kind and when I apologized and said that I didn't realize that they were closed told me not to worry. She said she would be more than happy to make my food! I had thought that since they were closed I could just go elsewhere but she was super duper incredible! She told me she would make me whatever I wanted. She also gave me some chips and salsa on the house "as a thank you for being so kind and understanding" in my mind- she was the one being kind and understanding not me! Seriously incredible service and also amazing food!! Portion sizing was huge as well- so good value for your money!! Definitely will be going back here again! I went home and recommended it to a bunch of friends and family! I got the chicken burrito and considering it is difficult to make good chicken it was super good! I'm still just so pleased that the worker put in the extra effort for me! It made me...
Read moreThis place SUCKS. Had a horrible experience the first time here and won’t be coming back. Firstly, the employee took five minutes to even get to us since they were outside doing who knows what. We were clearly talking and being loud, and the door chimed, and it still took forever for them to come to the front. The “flame grilled chicken” was disgusting and sitting in excess water. The “hot items” were barely even warm, cold by the time it was eaten. Super skimpy with everything, and felt like we were being rushed to choose toppings even though the place was empty. A lot of the toppings were out with no intention of being refilled, and everything looked like it was sitting there for the entire day uncovered and old. By the time I got to eat my food there was a puddle of water in my bowl from the garbage chicken. The employee also touched my fork tip with their hand and was wearing unprofessional street clothes. The overall atmosphere of this place sucks and it just screams unsanitary and lazy. Overpriced garbage, won’t be...
