Oh Browns. We really wanted to love this place but the food has slightly let us down. The other night was our third time there because we just kept hoping the food quality would improve. Anyway, here’s the deets:

Service: We like to sit at the bar and the service has always been top notch. Friendly, and attentive. 10/10

Atmosphere: We like it. Very comfy seating and a nice mix of booths and tables. I find it cold inside but that’s just me. The music could use some work - I looked around at one point and there were many, many “older folks” in the crowd, but there was rap music blaring. Something to think about. 8/10

Food: We shared three dishes. Cowboy Salad: tasty and fresh. Dynamite Roll: tasty but it was rolled so poorly (loose) that we had to eat it with a fork and knife instead of chopsticks as it’s meant to be eaten. Chicken Tacos (can’t recall what it’s actually called on the menu). We noticed right away that they were cold - mentioned it to our server and they took it off our bill (not our intention but appreciated). Rather than waste the food, we ate them. They were tasty, but being warm would have been much, much better.

Our other two experiences were similar. Always something wonky with the food.

We want to love...

This is the second time I have been to this location. There was three of us. Two of us got the butchers block burger , one without tomato(allergy), both with gravy. My wife order the blackened chicken fettuccine, without the blackening. I got my my burger and my wife got hers. Hers had a blackened chicken on it. My buddy got his gravy by itself. When his burger came it had ketchup on the plate. tomato allergy) . Not only that but it had tomatoes on the burgeras well. We had asked for the pasta to be re -done, but 3 min later they came back with the same pasta , blackened chicken and all and ask us if they could just bring out the grilled chicken ( which was 3 ounces at most). To add to said pasta. The supervisor said he would comp the pasta. That didnt happen. When my buddy got his meal , the fries were raw. We asked himto

recook the fries , and once again the fries were raw.. we had to ask for re- fills, or go to the bar to order drinks. The fries never came . Even though they said my wife's meal was compted the bill was 200. Server had no idea of what...

Stopped in for supper on our way through town after a long day of driving because we didn’t want fast food. Kids shared a pasta dish with chicken which was the only thing that came out the way it should have. Their signature Thai soup had a lingering fishy after taste and was very salty and spicy which is not normal. Spouses Caesar salad had so much dressing that the lettuce was soggy and my cowboy salad tasted like vinegar. Water’s were only half refilled, they didn’t bother topping up the kids even though they were empty and just walked away. We should have opted for fast food.

BTW - when did an 18% min tip become the norm? Tipping that high is ridiculous and the argument of "everything has become more expensive" does not fly. COVID is over and your lost revenue during that time is not my problem. Additional cost of food is reflected in the ever changing cost charged. Inflation means a 10% tip received today is more than a 10% tip a decade ago. This should remain relatively static and absolute BS for anything other than a fine dining...

Came for brunch with my family. I thought that since it's brunch time, it would be busier, but it wasn't. The service was great, though the food was hit or miss. My daughter had the blueberry compote waffles. They were great. Not overly sweet and it definitely hits the sweet tooth if that's what you're wanting for brunch. I also appreciated that there was a choice of two or three. My wife had the corned beef hash, and I honestly wish I'd've gotten this one cause the flavours were perfect. Just the right amount of heat balanced the saltiness of the corned beef. The sauce was killer as well! The downside of the whole meal was my prosciutto eggs benny. You could taste the oxidation in the prosciutto--it was pretty unpleasant. The english muffin was also stale. But as I said, the service was great, the food was prompt, and they had colouring pages for my little one. Not the worst place for brunch, that's for sure.

Ordered potato skins and wings. Potatoes skins only came ... waiter returned to tell us he only now found out they were out of wings just now. So, we ordered the dry ribs. The potato skins were very good. The iced tea cocktail was great. However, the dry pork ribs were very greasy, and were more like pork scraps as they had lots of fat and hardly any meat on them. The ladies washroom, one toilet not flushed (not restaurant's fault) but other stall, the toilet was obviously leaking onto the floor. And both stalls had a nasty, ugly build up of black "crud" where the floor met the walls. This is two for two (other time we had fish n chips where fish was dried out and mostly batter). Used to be a nice place to eat, but it has gone downhill. Shall not be returning.

First time for my buddy coming here, and this was my second time in a very long time. Came here on a Friday night, and it was pretty decent crowd, not too quiet nor too busy. We got seated fairly quickly, but unfortunately we got forgotten about. One of the servers finally noticed and was very apologetic and so made sure the rest of our time there was awesome. We ordered some sweet potato fries (really good!) to share and a couple of drinks. She always made sure to check on us and offered a dessert on the house. Not really necessary but it sure surprised us and made the night. Thank you! Overall, awesome food and great atmosphere 👍
