I went here tonight July 28th 2021 and was very unimpressed. We had a 5:45pm reservation because they said they had nothing after. We showed up at 5:30pm and things started off great. They had a great beer on tap and the wine was lovely. We ended up putting are order in shortly after. This is where the problems began. After an hour of no server talking to us or asking if we wanted more drinks I had to walk to the main floor where the servers were both standing behind the bar and had to ask for more drinks for the table. When these drinks arrived before my mother could ask for some water the waitress walked away without acknowledging her. We then proceeded to sit around for another 20 min before the waitress came back to tell us our food would be along shortly. Ten min later our food showed up and we were very disappointed. The $20 margarita pizza just had cheese and tomatoes on it. My $28 steak was over cooked and my potatoes were cold. My father Mediterranean pasta was worm at best. We all just ate our dinner as we didn’t want to wait for even longer to eat as my father has diabetes. When asked how the dinner was I was able to explain that my dinner was not right but was afraid it would take longer so I just ate it, before anyone else at the table could mention the displeasure to the waitress she walked away. I had mentioned we were not looking for a discount, in my mind I was just looking for some acknowledgment that our service sucked. And with no further convo she just docked my steak %15. it was a very disappointing waste of $200. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone not because of the food but because of the lack of care and any kind of respect for the amount people are paying...
Read moreI usually don’t leave reviews, but I feel it's important to share my experience at Elk&Finch coffee due to how unacceptable it was. During my recent visit, I was treated unfairly by one of the female staff members at the customer service counter. From the start, her attitude was dismissive and rude, unlike how she interacted with other customers. I couldn’t help but feel that I was being treated differently – whether due to my appearance, background, or something else, it felt like clear discrimination. When I asked a simple question about the menu, her response was curt and unhelpful. Meanwhile, I saw her being warm and polite to others. The contrast was very obvious and frankly, upsetting. No one should feel uncomfortable or looked down on in a public place – especially not one that claims to offer a welcoming atmosphere. This needs to take customer service seriously and train its staff to treat every customer with respect and fairness. Experiences like this leave a lasting negative impression, and I hope management addresses this kind of behavior. Until then, I won’t be returning – and I would not recommend this place to anyone who values respectful service last but not least before coming to this place i was very excited to visit here due to menu or good reviews but at the end its...
Read moreWe decided to try the Elk and Finch for lunch on a weekday. Arrived about 1:10pm so after the main lunch crowd. Everyone was eating outside on a beautiful summer day, with about 5 tables on the front porch of the restaurant (was once an old large house I suspect) and 4 or 5 more on a side patio (where we ate). Shade was available all round. Our server was helpful, friendly, pleasant and courteous. I had the Reuben sandwich which was a classic Reuben with saurkraut, mustard, and melted cheese all on toasted rye. Generous but not grotesquely large as some I have had other places. Just what I expected and very tasty 👍👍. Upgraded the side salad to spinach and beet which was also yummy. My wife had the special chicken salad in a croissant which was served nicely with tomatoes. Great beer and wine selection but we had corona non-alc. All in all a nice place to stop for a casual lunch and we left satisfied and pleased. Hopefully we will have a...
