After days of traveling from Vancouver Island, I was craving a truly satisfying meal — and Arturo Ristorante delivered beyond my expectations. I called ahead, a little worried that my road-weary, disheveled look might not fit the atmosphere, but the host immediately put me at ease, kindly telling me, “Don’t worry, there’s no dress code — just come in and enjoy yourself.” That set the tone perfectly. I took a seat at the bar, and enjoy myself I did. With eight stunning pasta options on the menu, I couldn’t choose just one. Luckily, my bartender Tom — as gracious and hospitable as he was gorgeous — suggested a split order and guided me toward his personal favorites. Best advice ever. The chefs are absolute wizards. The homemade pasta and sauces were so exquisite they nearly brought me to tears — truly one of the most memorable meals I’ve ever had. I made a reservation in advance online and was called back by the owner, i pre ordered my food, and pre paid on phone before I arrived. My wife and I were completly taken care of, we came in sat down right away they brought drinks right away. They started us off with smoked duck, it had a beet reduction sauce on it, that mixed with the smokey flavor was incredible. My wife had filet mignon medium rare and I lamb medium/pink. Our meals were cooked to perfection, the portion sizes were generous, the side of mushrooms and potatoes were so juicy and flavorful. We ended our evening with espresso and my wife creme brulé and I had tiramisu which was made that day, everything was top notch! We were treated with care, the staff was delightful, happy and courteous, they didn't interrupt us at all and yet were still there to always look after us. After seeing the review, me and friend were exited to try out that restaurant. Upon arrival, we realized the restaurant was fairly busy. The lady told us that we could only sit at the bar due to no table was available. However, a co-worker offered to clean a table and it would take about t min. The lady almost shoo him away and enforced we sit at the bar. We were dress pretty casual and I always was under the impression that she was snobing on us. Anyway, the filet mignon was cook like asked, however it tasted average. For a price tag of around 65$, a regular chain steak house would have done better for 45$, such as Chop or the Keg. The pasta were decent but fairly pricy.
