My recent experience at Sukhdev Restaurant in SSM left much to be desired. I ordered Samosa Chaat, Chicken Rogan Josh, and Butter Naan, hoping for a satisfying meal, but unfortunately, it fell short in several aspects.
Firstly, upon receiving my order, I was disappointed to find that no cutlery was provided, which made it inconvenient to enjoy the meal properly. The samosa in the Samosa Chaat was not fresh and emitted a foul smell, indicating it was past its prime. This was not only unappetizing but also concerning for food safety standards.
To make matters worse, I mistakenly consumed the Chicken Rogan Josh, and shortly after, I began experiencing stomach issues, including nausea, which persisted. This has been a discomforting experience, to say the least.
Having previously dined at Sukhdev locations in Sudbury and Espinosa, I had much higher expectations, based on positive experiences there. However, this SSM branch was disappointing and left me with concerns about the food quality and hygiene standards.
While I typically refrain from writing negative reviews, especially about food, when health is at risk, it's essential to share the experience honestly. I hope this feedback reaches the management of Sukhdev Restaurant in SSM, prompting improvements in food quality, hygiene practices, and overall customer experience.
I sincerely hope that my next experience at Sukhdev will be more in line with the standards I have come to expect from this...
ย ย ย Read moreThis was my second experience eating at this restaurant and overall I really enjoyed eating here, except for a few easily remedied issues. We were a table of six and we shared maybe four main dishes with a few sides. The food was excellent our server(s) were so helpful and very attentive. These qualities are probably the most important parts to eating out. I canโt remember all of our choices exactly but we had butter chicken, a very tasty lamb dish, some kind of okra dish, palak paneer, mango chutney, pickled veggies and more. The rice was yummy. The naan bread eaters said it was delicious! I did not enjoy drinking out of plastic cups, getting water out of a plastic bottle or having our cutlery corralled in a container- mid table (and both of our tables were unstable whenever someone dared to lean an elbow!) I wasnโt expecting fine dining, but no need for plastic glasses/bottles of water in a sit down restaurant. These are small issues but took away from an otherwise excellent experience. I did notice there were glasses on a shelf- next time Iโll ask for those There are plenty of naturally gluten free options on their menu!! I also noticed that a member of our community came in for and was served a free meal. I highly commend Sukhdev restaurant for this...

Naan I ordered had oregano on butter ,came to eat Indian not pizza that you sprinkle Oregano instead of Coriander .Spice level 10 was not at all spicy .I am Indian not Canadiian,so understand taste of Indian Not Canadian .So,better serve food As Indian origin not mixed Canadian with adding tomato gravy on Paneer, and serve it.
Try serving pure and authentic Indian food not flavour with Canadian ingredients throwing cilantro and Oregano in the gravy,it came into my mouth at every bite and stuck my mouth in every corner.
I asked pickle and they want 2.99$ to pay extra for 2 spoon of pickle, all Indian Restaurents have free pickle all over the world, now a Delhi thugs landed and they want to order pickle to make another 2.99 $ extra in their food profit.Great!
