I’m shook by this and still shaking
I went to Georgie’s Shawarma for a falafel wrap and dessert today. The dessert was posted at $4 and noticed I was charged $10.
Very nicely I asked the cashier about it and she said they ran out of the small portions. Given that I did not get the dessert yet, I said could you please refund it. She said George has to do that.
I went and sat down at my table on my phone when George came speaking down at me and saying I’ve to be nice to him and his staff. For a second, I thought he was joking. So I smiled and said, are you serious? He started yelling. Took the food back and the whole way back to the kitchen talked about banning me.
I went back to the cashier and asked for my money back please. Since I had no food and was told I wasn’t welcome there. He charged out of the kitchen took the receipt and crumbled it and told me to go complain.
I got my jacket and came back again when I recorded this video and asked if he’ll give me my money. He refused. I stopped recording and left!
I am in shock and extremely upset for receiving such mistreatment and embarrassment. Still no food and he took $27 plus from me.
Anyone with ideas on how to get my money back please? Definitely not going back there again!
I can’t believe I was treated this way even though I was not agressive or mean or did anything to...
Read moreThe restaurant is very clean and open. Kinda looks like a cozy café. We were greeted by the server and seated promptly. He's kinda quiet and shy. Originally I ordered the shawarma on salad, but was told they ran out of salad, so I got it on a wrap as did my husband. He also had a bowl of lentil soup, which he enjoyed. For appetizer, we had the stuffed grape leaves & a meat safhia. I'm used to Lebanese cuisine, and their grape leaves are served warm with tzatziki sauce. These were cold with no sauce except for pomegranate sauce/molasses on top. If it weren't for that drizzle, I wouldn't have liked them. The Safhia was ok, but again, could've used some sauce. Our shawarma wraps, however, were VERY YUMMY! Everything tasted as if it was made fresh just for us. I'd definitely go back for one of those. An added bonus: I don't think they're open on Sunday, and we were there around closing, so the chef went to those of us still in the restaurant and offered us leftover fresh falafel, which were very tasty, ANNNND free dessert! Baklava made not with phyllo sheets, but with strands of it. It was very very good. So all together, I was pleased....
Read moreTonight we had take out for the first time from Georgie's, I did not know what to expect but this place blew me and my wife away. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.
I called and asked our order to be ready for 4:30pm. We ordered the Shawarma over rice times two and an order of Falafel on hummus which came with homemade flatbread. I arrived at 4:30pm to meet Georgie himself who was just finishing up my order and I observed everyone wearing masks which was great to see during these times. I have never met Georgie before and let me tell you what a great down to earth person he is, I felt like I knew the guy forever. He even gave me two free Lentil soups to go because it was my first time there.
The size of our orders were huge, the flavors are amazing and just the presentation alone was something to see. We could each only eat our Shawarma, soup and we are looking forward to eating the rest tomorrow.
Georgie just gained two new customers for life because this place is in my opinion one of the...
