McDonald's — Restaurant in Selwyn

Okay. A McDonald's review. I'm reviewing the last time I went, which happened to be black Friday. This is also a Walmart McDonald's. Okay, first, service was slow. 30-45 minute wait slow, and that was after waiting to order and this was with my eight year old daughter. The staff was very polite even though they seemed under staffed and over worked. This is mostly why I'm giving four stars. They were going through a lot that day. So after the long wait to order and then for the food, they were out of ketchup cups, with an entire skid of packed boxes of everything, including ketchup cups. The food was disappointing. The oil in the fryer should have been changed. The French fries were cold. Had to get creative with the ketchup. Tables were dirty. BUT it was black Friday and it was super busy. If the fries were hot and the chicken nuggets didn't taste like burnt oil, I would have given five stars for...

The employees ability to listen at this location is hit & miss. Ask for something and you will probably get it messed up. The only guarantee to getting what you ask for is to use the App and pre-order. Otherwise, asking for a BigMac sandwich & a large iced coffee instead = a BigMac & Fries (no drink).

You’d think it would be common sense that stating “Big Mac sandwich” means JUST THE SANDWICH. If I wanted a meal I would ask for a Big Mac Meal, but I’ve never asked for a meal and more often than not I’m charged for fries I NEVER asked for; but because the employees also barely use the till to input your order while you’re at the speaker, it’s regularly impossible to see what they actually put down as the order & what you’ll be charged for.

I live a block away from this location, and every few months I'll break down and try it again. Almost every time I regret it. I can leave the store, drive to Tim Horton's, order, and return with my Tim's order before they are even ready to TAKE my order here. Drive thru or inside restaraunt. I just tried again, nearly 10 mins for them to take 1 order in the dining room. I just left. I don't have 20 mins for you to serve the TWO people in line in front of me. Prices are absurd as well. One of the most expensive value menus of any fast food restaraunt. Also, can somebody turn off the alarm that is blaring behind the counter for what seems like every minute since the location opened? No one wants to sit and eat while listening to that. The only redeeming feature of this location is the staff are at least pleasant from...
