Gong Cha Sherwood Park — Restaurant in Sherwood Park

Honestly hate to leave this review as we have been here so many times and it’s been amazing. But we have gone the last 2 days and had a terrible experience. There is an Asian male who was working both yesterday (September 8) and today (September 9) and honestly he was so unhelpful. Yesterday we went around 7:30pm and there wasn’t any boba pearls left. Then we go again today about 5:50pm asked about the pumpkin drinks for fall as they were not listed on their menu or special boards and he replies oh we don’t have it (we had them a couple weeks back just couldn’t remember the names) we mentioned that we had them a couple weeks back and a female looked at the recipe sheets and checked the fridge and said yeah we have the syrup! Instead this gentleman said oh no we don’t have it without looking and said oh I don’t know how. Didn’t offer to look or anything. There are 2 ladies that work here that are absolutely wonderful!!!!! Told me if I got my drink with no ice it would taste different and also told by other employee it wouldn’t layer properly 🤣.(still no layers after ice put because it’s not that kind of milk tea) Which one is it then? It made them uncomfortable that I requested no ice. 10 mins later after I’d driven off I realized this shop played me, they could have just accommodated “no ice” and because it will mean filling up cup with more tea to just charge me xtra. My mother has never had bubble tea, and after looking at a few reviews we decided on Gong Cha. It was absolutely the right choice! We both got the "Dirty Brown Sugar Mike Tea" and were not disappointed. I had mentioned it was my mom's first time trying it, and the lovely lady behind the counter said she could try it and if she didn't like it, they'd make her a brand new one. Exceptional customer service. Needless to say we did not need them to make another one as the first choice was delicious. 100% recommend this place for all...
