went here with the family, first time visiting the restaurant.
Son had a hankering for chicken parm, and mom didn't want to cook it at home for him. I really enjoyed the restaurant offering a platter size option so we had lots to take home.
I had a NYC Hero sandwich for the first time, and it was DELICIOUS. I usually don't like raw tomato but theirs are really good. The meat and cheese was also top notch. I really liked the contrast of tastes and how they added banana peppers to it. There was just the perfect amount of shredded lettuce in it, and they didn't use that as a filler to make the sandwich seem larger than it was. The bread used for the sandwich was also spectacular.
Wife had the Lasagna and I had to resist the temptation to steal her dinner it was amazing, hands down the best Lasagna I've had in a restaurant.
Daughter had Spaghetti and meatballs and was very happy with it. The meatballs were gigantic, almost as big as her head!
We had a family ceasar salad to share as a starter. Croutons were top notch, ample bacon bits for those who like them, dressing was light and not over powering while still being ample.
AND OMG THE GARLIC BREAD. This would be my last meal, no contest. I'd go here again just for the garlic bread and be a happy man. I used some of the hot chili oil provided at the table and it complimented it nicely.
For desert we had 2 nutella calzones which the kids enjoyed. I had a NYC Cheesecake and the raspberry sauce was S Tier. Cheesecake itself was delicious and not overly sweet or fatty. I really enjoyed it. I don't eat a ton of cheesecake but found this to be remarkable.
Wife had a Canoli which was absolutely massive. it was a meal all on its own. She really liked it and had plenty to take home.
All our portions were amazing. Prices had a bit of sticker shock, but given the quality of the food and the portion size, I think it was a very fair price.
Our hostess was amazing. We called ahead and they held a table for us. She was on her game, incredibly friendly, got all our orders in and out quickly, kept on top of drinks and refills, and always had a smile.
This is my new favourite italian place which has sadly been missing in my life for so long. Will be back. Thanks so much to everyone at the restaurant. You're all so good at what you do, it...
Read moreOH MY GOSH, YUM! We finally got a chance to try this place last night, and it did not disappoint. The menu has so many options! They also have several dishes that offer a single serving OR a platter/family style dish that can feed 4-6 people. I LOVE having that option. Especially if you go out with a bunch of kiddos – then you can easily order a large pasta dish and they can share. We ordered the Deep-Fried Lasagna (from the shareables portion of the menu) and it was HUGE. Its basically the exact same size as the Rob’s Lasagna, expect deep fried. So, you could 100% just eat it as a dish, with some added garlic bread. We split that and then had a small Prosciutto Arugula Pizza. Both dishes were so delicious, and we are eager to go back and try more dishes. They have some incredible looking desserts that are made in-house. Our server was very friendly and once we were seated, she took our drink order and let us know the specials for the day. They have the standard fountain pop, as well as some Italian Soda drinks and cocktails/wine etc. The seating is limited, so its best to get there early if you are going to want to eat during some peak/busy times. They have half booths as well as standard tables/chairs. They have a few tables in the center of the restaurant that can be pulled together to accommodate a larger group. The kitchen is all open, so you can see the action going on. The bathrooms are large and clean. They have roomy standard stalls and handicap accessible stalls. There is only an air hand-dryer and no paper towel; and the lights are automatic when you walk in/out. There are several parking stalls surrounding the restaurant, but it can get filled up quickly when they are busy. They have a couple of handicap spaces close to the door as well. If parking is full, there are several other spots near businesses just a couple of doors down. I would absolutely recommend trying this restaurant because it has become a new favorite for us after...
Read moreThe first 2 times, I thought it was awful as I felt the pasta was undercooked and so dry, due to a lack of sauce. But, I feel it's important to give a restaurant 3 tries, and I am so happy I did. I picked up some of the best pasta I have ever had. The last few times actually, have been incredibly delicious, as I ask for it creamy. I now make a superior garlic toast so don't order theirs, but, willing to share my recipe with them. 🤣😂 The 2 for 1 deals on Uber, make it one of the best values you can get for your money. What really impressed me today is the 4 young people there. They were all working so hard, and so fast. It's been decades I think, since I've seen several people work at a fast speed. Seriously, other businesses could learn from this. I made a point of complementing them as people seem to move slower these days with no sense of urgency. Not sure if thats good or bad, but impressive none the less. So as long as they continue making my pasta creamy, I will continue to support such a well run restaurant, with an amazing team. For those who say young people are lazy, need to experience this for themselves. And lastly, this was 11am with no customers in sight. They were all working hard to prepare for the day ahead. Outstanding! ❤️❤️❤️ Ps. I posted my review on our local Facebook food review group and a couple others agreed about the lack of sauce, and the pasta being too dry. Hopefully, you take note. Nobody likes dry pasta, we can make that at home. 🙂 I gave 4 stars for the food, because of the lack of sauce, but the taste is...
