Paul's Bakery — Restaurant in Smithers

So times have changed, so has the product... i usually order ahead and pickup later in the day,. Thankfully i didn't do that yesterday. I usually buy 3 or 4 dozen cronuts and jelly doughnuts. Yesterday i bought 2 jelly doughnuts. The girl put them in the bag and i left.. when i got home as i was putting the doughnut bag on the counter i noticed the bag looked very grease saturated. When bit into the crust on one side was hard ,the otherside soft greasy, then my mouth was filled with flavour of greasy gross taste . I could not eat the jelly doughnut. Very dis-appointing especially when a jelly doughnut is $2.50 plus tax .. I must check my vehicle seat to see if the grease soaked into the fabric...March 23 2024

I tried the Cinnamon rolls for the first time today. Bought in Terrace. A perfect example of a product that's been stripped of all quality for the maximisation of profit. Or they're just really bad cinnamon rolls made by the apprentice? 🧐 Just enough cinnamon to call it a cinnamon bun. Lacklustre icing, bready, dry and no raisins. I'm 100% sure I could Google "cinnamon bun" and be able to come up with a better recipe (or many!) to make at home.. And I'm not a baker! Ordered a black forest cake and oatmeal raisin cookies for a crew BBQ last week, the cake was the absolute best I've ever had!!! Every guy on the crew had more than 2 pieces and the cookies, well I want to grab more just for myself, they were moist tasty and fresh!!! Best ever!!
