I'm not really sure how to review this. Food was amazing. Downside is when we first went in my son ate a pack of sugar and the waitress came and took the entire dispenser away. Some people have low blood sugar and other medical conditions and can't always wait for the food. I found that quite appalling actually to the point we almost left. I've never seen that ever happen and can't even express it. I asked another waitress about it and she didn't have much of a reason other than she would bring it back if we wanted. Thankfully this waitress continued serving us because we weren't too happy with the other one. Food was good. Portion sizes were good. Price was decent. Kids menu was odd. Not sure what it states root beer wasn't an included option in the price. See picture for how it reads. ? Don't have root beer or root beer has caffeine and they are trying to parent for parents? Also $1. Up charge to add cheese to burger was odd. For being a family place we didn't feel overly welcomed when they take condiments away that is in every table and up charge for a cheese burger. I get making it cost a bit more but $1 is a bit much. Overall restaurant and bathrooms were clean and food was cooked well and warm. Second waitress did a fine job. Could have went without the first reaching over the table and grabbing the sugar packets away. A few pennies in sugar cost us a food experience. We went in because of the good reviews. We are not local and we're travelling from a month long road trip. If I could I would give 3.5 stars but that's not an option. Food...

We heard a lot of good news about this restaurant and also know someone that works there but they did not work this day. When we walked in I asked it we could sit at this one table as I could see my car and dogs in it. The person that sat us said no as it was not cleaned. So we sat at the table next to it. Just before I sat down I looked at the table and saw that it was totally wet with streaks as someone just wiped it with a rag. So I sat at that table because I could see my car. Next the person that sat us came and said that the reason we did not sit you here was because it was not cleaned. I replied it is clean and she walked away. Ok now the waitress came with a smug on here face and not very friendly. She asked us what we would like to drink.My wife asked for a wine and I asked what beer do you have on tap. She pointed at a sheet on the table and said nothing. Most place would say we have these beers and I would pick. Rude as I said before I asked for water. Than she came for food. My wife asked for a burger which she liked and I asked for a Caesar chicken wrap. It was not good at all. Chicken was dry, hard and not much of a taste. The bacon where bacon bites and the whole wrap was 90% salad. The Caesar dressing had no taste as it was out of a bottle. This is the first and only time we will eat here again. Bad food bad service. Great food, pricing is reasonable, and they do have specials.. Get here early or they may run out of the daily special! I didn't get a chance to try it, but I will be back!

The restaurant is relaxed, the staff is very friendly and helpful. Overall I give this restaurant 4.1 out of 5 stars, seating area as well as pricing and service included. 5 out of 5 stars on the taste of the meal. The food was hot and delicious. I got the red pepper soup and it was definitely a great choice, it wasn't too spicy and had a lot of flavor. The steak sandwich was done exactly the way I like it at medium rare, and it was a nice steak, tender and easy to eat. The garlic bread which steak was layed upon was fresh bread and a mild garlic which complimented the steak. Very delicious meal!

My colleague had the pulled pork and same pepper soup, who commented the pork was salty, but I tried it and it was very delicious, not too salty for me, and I'm not a salt fan, but I do like spice.

I asked about the Christmas tree in the middle and there was a very interesting story behind what is in the box below it! Make sure to ask about it...
