Thai Express — Restaurant in Squamish

I walked in to 1 other person in front of me ordering. When it was my turn to order, the guy at the till answered his cell phone, twice, before he would take my order - although he did say he was sorry about it. He told me it would be about 10 minutes.

I understand there are online orders and such (one Door Dasher came in while I was waiting and he had to wait too) but I waited over 25 minutes for a Chicken Pad Thai...on a Sunday at 7 pm.

Most of the time, there wasn't even anyone at the grill making anything. I saw 3 different people "working".

My order was to go but while I was waiting I could see that none of the tables had been wiped and the bathroom needed a quick tidy. The garbage in the dining area needed to be emptied too.

Food was bomb though. Portions were HUGE. The only thing was that the chicken was a...

Below average for fast food Thai. Ordered extremely spicy and there were three chili flakes. Pineapple and tomato were both missing from the fried rice. No salt, barely saucy rice...and to top it off: a tip expectation. For fast food. Before the dinner rush. With three cooks and one cashier. And I still had time to do groceries next door for 15min. Not impressed. Just...be better. It's Thai express. Not expecting authentic food but man, at least make me not want to drive down to Park Royal or anywhere outside of Squamish for a fix...

I have missed thai express since moving from Ontario. It was my go-to for 'fast-food'; to say I was delighted to see it open up in Squamish is an understatement. The one thing I will say about Thai Express is it isn't normally the same every time you go - depends who cooks it - but I've probably ordered 8-10 times since they've opened - both for take out or delivery - and I have been very happy with their consistency! Bonus - the entire staff is sooooo friendly. Thank you Thai Express and welcome...
