We recently hosted our wedding reception at Cold Break, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. From start to finish, Sophie, our coordinator, was absolutely amazing! So easy to work with, incredibly organized, and always quick to answer questions or put our minds at ease. She made the whole planning process seamless. The food was a huge highlight of the night. We had a mix of apps (buffet style), mains with table service (perfectly cooked steak, salmon, and vegan options), and late-night snacks (sliders, pizza, and more). The kitchen did an outstanding job, and front of house delivered amazing service. Every single guest commented on how delicious everything was, the quality and speed of service were top-notch. For a brewery with a casual vibe, the menu exceeded expectations and truly elevated the evening. Of course, the beer was fantastic, and the seltzers were a big hit with our crowd too. On top of that, the Cold Break team handled setup and cleanup beautifully, which gave us more time to actually enjoy our big day instead of worrying about details. We’re so grateful to Sophie and the entire team for making our wedding reception everything we hoped for and more. We would absolutely recommend Cold Break to anyone looking for an event venue that’s fun, flexible, and delivers an unforgettable experience.

Cold Break Brewing is a new brewery in a tucked away area of St. Catharines. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. Their staff are helpful, friendly and can answer almost any questions you may have. If they don't know, they will ask the appropriate person. The patio is very cute with a large area that is covered and able to be used in all weather (with the help of heat lamps & fans). Some of the patio is uncovered for those who want to sit outside and enjoy a nice beer. It is also dog friendly. The food was really good. I tried the burger and was very happy with it. Their menu can be accessed online or by scanning a QR code at the table. The drink list was written out on a chalkboard to read. I tried the peach sour beer. I was a bit surprised it wasn't very sour but I'm sure that would appeal to some people who are newer to the sour beer trend. If you get a chance, make sure to check out their operations area which you can walk through. It is between the patio and indoor seating areas. Overall I really liked this place but just felt like something was missing. I can't place it.. maybe more plants or more signs somewhere? Whatever it is, I'll be sure to see how this new brewery grows into itself over time.

First Friday night out from 3rd Lockdown (June 2021) & we were not disappointed, this place is a hidden gem in the West End neighborhood. We waited about 10 minutes for a seat outside in the replica barn background atmosphere, very charming & basic but it's the first night open in months Drinkys first, sour Raspberry beer, IPA, Crispy cream Ale all delicious but the wild berry beer is amazing, you must conspire & bring the ladies, they will love it. We started with the Righteous platter- (part of The Big Break @Cold Break- which is a dinner combo of apps, 2 entrées & a sharable cheesecake dessert) which consists of assorted meats and cheeses, delicious brie, & hummus, by looking at the pic we devoured it. Then onto the entrée of Ginger honey glazed salmon and Hot butter hot fried chicken both are pictured before they were gobbled up. The food was fantastic!!! Carter, one of our servers was amazing, very knowledgeable about the Craft beer and food details. We will be back BOH- fabulous food FOH- well done Mngt- keep it up P.S. please offer some gluten free crackers with the Righteous platter or for the Brie... Costco has some tasty ones

Let me start off by saying I don’t normally right reviews but I felt I had to, in order to give this place the props they deserve. This place is absolutely phenomenal. Went there with my Dad and girlfriend the other night, and I was amazed from start to finish. I’ve seen the building a few times as I live near it but hadn’t gone in until the other day. Their on tap beers were sooo good. They reminded me of a micro collective arts style menu. The environment is super cool. It’s a cozy warm ambience. Somehow it made me want to throw a big party there but also gave me the vibe of a cool place to kick back and study. Service was awesome too. But the absolute game changer for me was their steak. I got an 8 ounce (I believe) sirloin and let me tell you, I have eaten at most steakhouses throughout Niagara. I’ve had The Keg (obviously), Mr. Mikes, Ruth’s Chris, NGA2 steakhouse, Lakehouse, etc. I am not kidding when I say this meal was better than the places listed above. It was actually unbelievable. The steak was a perfectly cooked extremely tender sirloin cut paired with extremely tasty vegetables and gourmet mashed potatoes. It honestly reminded me of a $200 cut that I had in Banff. And I think it was only like $29? I don’t know how they’re making money on it. If you’re a beer lover, or a steak lover, you must check them out. Next time I’m definitely trying the Lamb. (And I’ll probably also have to order the steak again lol)...

I booked a company holiday party at Cold break Brewery and our experience was fantastic! Our group was large enough for a full buyout/exclusive use of the space, which enabled us to comfortably mingle and allowed our staff to spread out. The menu/meal options provided to us were extensive and they easily accommodated the dietary restrictions for the group. (some of which included celiacs who were all happy with their experience) The quality of food was amazing, and our staff raved about how great their main dishes tasted. (The chicken & salmon were not dry, the beef & lamb were cooked perfectly). We stayed for some time after dinner to play board games and mingle, and really appreciated the flexibility of the staff members onsite. There was lots of parking available for our staff which was very convenient, and the price point per person was really reasonable.

The beer selections are always great, and they had non alcoholic options. There isn't a full bar but they did offer to help make arrangements with an SOP for wine and liquor, though we decided not to go this route.

A big "thank you" and kudos to the staff members on site. Sophie was always responsive and helpful in planning the details. The staff were all smiles and welcoming. Everything went fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed...
