During this pandemic, the policy is that the employees must get the items for you and when it comes to bulk foods, I get that. But not everyone wants bulk foods, but you still have to wait in line for things like a chocolate bar or baking pans. There's a sign on the door that explains this but not all people know how to read, especially a lot of the older generation. When you walk in, there's no one at the door to tell you anything or to answer questions and no ropes to block people from entering the store. Read moreI usually visit this location and everyone is very friendly. I went today and a worker was standing in front of the door on her phone and having a smoke. I didn’t get one foot away from my car until she yells at me “We are closed...it is inventory day”. Not a problem, I completely understand, although at the bulk barn I used to work at we always did our inventory starting at 5am so that it did not interfere with our customers experience. Read moreI havent really ever used bulk barn frequently. However since the pandemic began I've been baking more often and have gone to bulk barn a couple of times. I've utilized the online ordering system which has been incredibly easy. But have also been in store. The staff have been so amazing and patient. The stores are literally taking all of the proper precautions. Bulk Barn is the one store I've felt truly safe in. This is a store I see myself going to much more now that I know they really care about their staff...
