Niagara Sub Shoppe — Restaurant in St. Catharines

I'd give it a 5 but my son said his Pizza sub was nothing special, but I personally believe that's because he added nothing extra to it. Yes pizza is basically a perfect food that one could live on for many many moons, but that is for another review. I had the 6inch turkey and added bacon to it...a little mayo, sun sauce, cheese, lettuce, pickles, green olives and onion. Decided to try the plain Jane white bread and I was not disappointed. Soft inside, ever so slight hard outside, not likely made on site but it was an amazing sanguiche. Certainly better than the "eat fresh" chain, though I do miss seeing the actual ingredients going on to my sandwich, you have to trust they know what they are doing, and they are doing it right in my eyes. Beverage selection was pretty good too with Popshoppe soda, a few Faygo drinks, Calypso juices and a few other including .20 cent bottles of water that you can get at Shoppers or Costco that they can sell for anything. Strangely not much Coke or Pepsi selection and as for a side of chips, they had them but it seemed to me they were the ones you'd buy from Costco by the case that have maybe 12 chips in them. But the good part is, you don't need many, you didn't come to a subshop for chips, and more importantly they do not overcharge for them considering you can get a sub, soda and a bag of chips for somewhere in the $7 range. I'd go back and stay away from. The pizza sub but I would try others, even though the turkey +bacon...

Let me tell you about this place: THEY KNOW FOOD. Don’t get me wrong Subway will always have a special place in my heart, but everything here was FRESH and you could taste it right away. It was filling too the subs are thick!!! They also have local soda/pop that really is great. It reminds me of ordering Mexican coke with my meals in most Spanish cuisines. Really great stuff glad a local place gets a big spot in the Pen Centre. I only got my favourite, classic; assorted sub with a cherry coke. Good prices too, you really can’t beat this...

If your ever in the Pen Center Mall and your hungry I insist that you stop in at this Sub Shoppe I personally have had the Philly Cheese ,the Assorted and the meatball sub ...a couple times Personally the Philly Cheese Sub wins hands down ,I recommend sataying the onions, peppers and mushrooms but that's your call .The staff that served me was Isaiah and Matty she was the cook that day That served up a mouth watering Philly sub and Isaiah was professional at the counter actually the whole staff is very polite and...
