This would be a really great cafe if they accommodated places for people to park. Instead, people park out front of homes where home owners need to park and have permits (many of which have physical disabilities and need the close proximity). As a result of no parking accommodations, homeowners like myself are getting parking tickets for parking in front of our own homes and having to park blocks away from where we live, not to mention that the people who park on the street for the cafe 1. Don’t know which direction to park (see picture) and 2. Didn’t even get a ticket. This is NOT ok. This is very upsetting. I think I speak on the behalf of all the homeowners on Russell, PLEASE fix this. Sincerely, A 14 year neighbourhood resident.

A French inspired cafe and wine bar, we went for the soft opening and got to try the upcoming menu, as well as sample some of the wine, beers and coffee that will be on offer. We were pleasantly surprised by everything we tried. Attention to detail is what makes this place special. Food is fresh, inspired, and local when possible. Wines are an interesting and thoughtful collection. Coffee is smooth, and delicious. The space is bright with large windows that provide beautiful natural light that highlights the elegant design and the well appointed space, can't wait to see the space this spring and summer for patio season. We live far away, but will be back as often as we can.

Cute coffee shop with good customer service. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. The only thing that is not very pleasant was that the entrance door push forward so sometimes when people stands inside waiting to get order, they get smooshed when someone opens the door and not paying attention. (The door hit me really hard when a random guy walking in without even looking and he doesnt even say sorry.) Can get really busy on the weekend.

Went to pique nique the day after it opened. Got a Cortados coffee and was pleased that they had a milk alternative to offer as I'm lactose intolerant. I also got some bakery items to share with the other moms in my mom group. I purchased the Salt and Pepper cookie, Belgian Chocolate cookie, one plain scone and one scone that had jam on top. The restaurant was nice and clean, staff we polite.

I would have given a 5 star review but there were a few issues with what I ordered. The Belgian cookie was very dark almost burnt on the bottom. I got my order to go so I didn't have a chance to taste my coffee and scone while in the restaurant but I would say the coffee need one sugar in it and the girl behind the counter never asked if I wanted a sugar or sweetener for my coffee, maybe I should have asked her. I will also say the plain scone was dry and could have used some jam which I feel like she should have asked if I wanted some ham for the scones, maybe I should have asked but I feel like if you have to go as an option for for you food and beverages you should ask the customer if they would like any items...
