The two stars are solely for the waitress who was excellent. Prompt, courteous and friendly. That’s the only redeeming thing about my first and most likely my last visit. It was clean but the decor could use an update from the sticky brown pleather table clothes. It’s trapped in that 80’s bar and grill kind of feel. We started with the cheese bites which came out cold in the middle and deep fried in the outside. I was expecting to bite into a melty warm kind of thing but it was not that at all and it didn’t look right. I started to feel like I might be on one of those kitchen nightmare shows and that I might get sick from eating there. I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich and an ice tea. The ice tea tasted off like the cup wasn’t cleaned properly or something. The sandwich bread roll was fine and seemed fresh. The lettuce was at the end of its shelf life. The chicken which I expected to Be saucey has a thin layer of breadcrumbs and felt stale and was very chewy. Upon inspection, the chicken looked like it had been freezer burnt and had dark patches in it. There was a very thin layer of sauce on the bun and a thin layer of what I can assume was blue cheese. Zero taste horrible texture and worse presentation. Everything was brown in varying shades, the sphagetti sauce on my daughters dinner, the deep fried stuff of course, my chicken sandwich, the lettuce, the table Cloth the decor and the sign. So I guess that’s the theme they...
Read moreWait staff here are always great but I’m happy to say Kaitlyn (I hope I spelled that right) took it up a notch. Every little request—malt vinegar for my fries, whatever—it was a joy for her to go get that for us. We we tempted to invite her to sit with us, we felt so comfortable with her like we knew her before we walked in the place. Good portions here and great tasting. I enjoyed the French onion soup. Very nicely done and with lots of cheese the way I like it. Sirloin is a good choice of entree and I like the fact that they err on the side of caution when grilling it so in places it may be a bit more rare than you expect but that’s perfectl for me because I love my steak and usually get stuck with something overcooked. The beer chipotle sauce on the cheeseburger was also delicious and not too peppery. If you’re normally one to shy away from that; dont be. Fries could be a little more crispy but you can order them that way. Lots of choice on the menu. Oh, another favourite is the spinach cheese dip. Don’t miss out. Big place with several TV’s showing live sports throughout but it’s thankfully not noisy, making for a relaxing meal. I plan to get the chicken wings next time, they’re said to be a...
Read moreTerrible service Terrible management Terrible cleanliness not the place to visit nor spend money.
We went here for a coworker goodbye dinner. We were not seated or helped at all. We then sat by the bar waiting for a table. We could barely get a drink service was terrible, besides the waiters and waitresses being rude and unprofessional the MANAGEMENT went up to this older lady and screamed at her to leave they then proceeded to escort her out. So unprofessional and appalling. My work brings a lot of money to Ricki’s and they have now lost our business until they can get a better handling on their staff. The manger should be reprimanded for treating customers the way that she did. We will never step foot into this establishment again until something is done with her disrespectful attitude. The whole staff needs new training on how to treat and respect customers. I am absolutely disgusted on how this place is run! Besides the fact of how the management and staff treat customers the way they are going about new COVID-19 restrictions is horrible. They did not sanitize one thing, one table, one menu disgusting they need the health board to do a...
