Shelby’s Restaurant is a hidden gem that deserves all the accolades it can get! From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that sets the stage for an unforgettable dining experience.
Now, let’s talk about the food. The beef and lamb traditional wrap is a masterpiece. The tender, flavorful meats are perfectly seasoned, wrapped in a warm, soft tortilla that holds all the deliciousness together. Each bite bursts with authentic flavors, complemented by a delightful sauce that elevates the dish to new heights. It’s hearty, satisfying, and truly a celebration of culinary tradition.
On the other hand, the bacon halloumi wrap is a game changer. The crispy bacon pairs beautifully with the rich, salty halloumi cheese, creating a mouthwatering contrast of textures and flavors. The wrap is packed with fresh ingredients, and the combination is simply irresistible. It’s a perfect option for those looking to indulge in something a little different while still enjoying that comforting wrap experience.
The service at Shelby’s is exceptional, with attentive staff who are passionate about the menu. They’re always ready to recommend the perfect pairing for your meal.
Overall, Shelby’s Restaurant is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates quality food and a welcoming atmosphere. Whether you’re a meat lover or a fan of unique flavors, their wraps will leave you craving more. Don’t miss out on this...
Read moreThe menu is unique and priced fairly, but the food quantity was comparable to a fast food joint and I found that it lacked substance and flavour. I mainly tasted the flat bread used in my wrap and was left disappointed. I probably will not give them a second chance as there are plenty of other local restaurants that offer more satisfying flavour, larger portions, and freshly made daily for the same price; in addition to helping a local business. This chain is new and Canadian (originally from London, ON). It is very well decorated and clean (it is only a year old), but I found it lacks sitting space. The parking lot is extremely awkward to not only enter the plaza, but wraps around the building (they crammed too many businesses in limited space). The parking is tightly spaced, and stressful to park or leave, becomes evident when there is flow of traffic. Terrible planning by the architect (ACK Architects). Although I love the open kitchen and transparency it provides, the flow inside is uncomfortable as the kitchen overtakes the available interior space. This is obvious as people stand to order, others wait for their food, and delivery people hang around to pickup orders. Other than that, the staff was very welcoming and the menu is a mix of arabic with Indian cuisine fused with north american fast food such as fries and onion rings. It's a different concept and I wish them much success, but the location and the food is...
Read moreWife wanted to give this place a try after all the rave reviews she read. We had an early dinner today. Placed an order to dine in for three. I let the lady at the register know we will need three drinks. She rang up our bill I added a tip for a job they get paid to do, didn't even look at the receipt until later I was approached. Half way through our meal the lady at the register came by to ask us how everything was, I thought that was a nice gesture and different since it was our first time there but she smoothly lead into how she only charged us for two drinks vs. three. We left a tip worth more than the drink, anyways, I paid for the drink. Money is of no concern but as a courtesy she could have let us know she made a mistake and that it would be on the house this time. When I went to pay after we ate the guy ran over so quickly to ring in the $3 beverage. Aside from that, the food tastes just like any other sharwarma diner, nothing special except their home made bread. The coleslaw salad was tiny including all other sides. We gave the place try at least. P.S. there is barely any seating inside the two owners occupied an entire table with two other girls giving up real estate. In addition, the staff share the same washroom as the customers with very poor parking. Everything aside, I wish them...
