I love me some urban cravings the food is great mind you the service at the place near the new hospital has terrible clique like staff that are just unbearable. I love the girls over at the one is Port Dalhousie, but these ones are just so rude. I can't even believe they employ such little brats who can't take responsibility for their mistakes and try blaming a customer for what they did wrong. Anyhow will always visit Port Urban Cravings but this is the second time I've just experienced bad service at the one on fourth Ave. They should take course on costumer service or something just terrible. My mom got us some food from there today, I'm in the hospital with my new baby and I'm not surprised that when she called this little brat answered who tried to make it seem like my mother had been mistaken for her picking up an order that wasn't even finished even though they handed her the bag and watched her leave. When she called she got some idiot who said it was her fault cause it wasn't ready and I guess it was the customers fault she took the bag from her and walked off thinking the meal she paid for was in it. No one said a freaking thing. What a piece of work. Horrible service. I think last time I was in there too I was told to go down to the other end by an employee just to walk to the other side anyways, some sort of stupid control move or something. Just immature people working there. Visit the one in Port, you always leave smiling with...
Read moreJust visited this locaton earlier today and upon my arrival I was pleasantly greeted by the workers... And the noise of some awful woman berating the girl at cash. The cashier handled the complaints SO well, even after this woman disrespectfully "shushed" her as she was trying to apologize. All of this drama from this horribly unpleasant woman not being able to read a sign and feeling like she's entitled to free upgrades on her purchase! She also mentioned having a chat with the owner (literally over salad dressing), so OWNER, please if this woman reaches out to you, please know that your workers were absolutely FANTASTIC, apologetic, composed, polite, and tried to solve the problem.... And lady, if you're reading this, you might find that effective and respectful communication goes a LONG way when voicing a complaint, especially to service workers. I know big words and feelings are hard, but with practice and patience you can figure how how to communicate them! And please, for everyones sake, find something more productive to do with your time and energy than picking on adolescent girls who are just trying to do their job!
Also, the food was great, as always... Love...
Read moreI'm really disappointed in this place and its lack of Vegan options. I assumed that a food service business focused on salads, in St. Catharines, would know we have a large vegan population to cater to. You would think that is a popular type of customer they would have in mind when designing a salad bar. Not so much. Most bowls and salads are animal product focused which they told me I could remove... Leaving me with an emptier salad with less toppings. Second their wall menu had no indication of what could be vegan or vegetarian friendly. Most restaurants practice this with their menu. Finally I asked what salad dressings were vegan and they didn't have them labelled as most restaurants would. To my surprise they didn't know. They started reading through ingredients and concluded I could eat oil and vinegar (lame) and maybe one other that sounded unappealing. That's when I dropped my order and left. I'm no food snob but I certainly think this business is missing out on a potentially large customer base. Setting my complaints aside, it does look like a very nice establishment. I would love to come back if they built up a nice vegan menu......
