(In photo) I went in with my son yesterday for the first time and he chose a whole wheat loaf, I chose the Mediterranean sourdough and then we got some chocolate chip cookies, all of which are to die for! The service was great, the salesperson was very kind and helpful.

Miss Linda at the counter is the best, she helped me to find what I needed! Not to mention the bread is very good, soft but nice crackle of the crust, I got the banquette and whole white loaf. A banquette cost $4 and a whole load was $5, very nice to have & to eat!

We actually had a chance to try Downie’s sourdough bread when we visited London. We bought a walnut sourdough bread and tried at home and it was great. Moist and soft inside with think crispy crust. Would definitely visit the location in Stratford.

We actually had a chance to try Downie’s sourdough bread when we visited London. We bought a walnut sourdough bread and tried at home and it was great. Moist and soft inside with think crispy crust. Would definitely visit the location in Stratford.

I was so excited to see a bakery so close to our home when we moved to Stratford a few months back. I was definitely not disappointed on my first visit - nor have I been on any of my other many visits! My son and I take a walk down a few times a week to get some of their perfectly baked bread! My only disappointment is that I have to wait until Wednesday to get my freshly baked baguette ;) Extremely friendly people, reasonable prices, AMAZING breads (oh ya and their brownies are easily the best...

What a treat! Was in Stratford on Downie and saw this adorable shop and knew I had to stop in. So glad I did! Lovely people. Bought 6 chocolate chip cookies, 2 brownies, a white loaf and a a whole grain sourdough. All have been amazing! The loaves have that perfect crust and hold in all that soft bread interior. Was in Stratford for a day. Happened upon this bakery and stopped in. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Bought a few loaves of bread. The 3 seed bread was I think the best loaf of bread I have ever had. I cut and froze the other bread but it looks like it will be amazing as well. I don't get to Stratford often but will make this bakery a definite stop every time. Very impressed with the whole town of Stratford. Nice downtown with lots of boutique shops and incredible...
