Pearl Sushi — Restaurant in Stratford

We were a bit disappointed with the Maki sets. They were very small rolls. The spicy crispy rolls were not crispy at all. Now the k rock roll we ordered was amazing and we wish we would have each gotten one of those instead of the Maki sets. The seaweed salad was also very very small for the price. The other issue was the service. Everyone was friendly enough but we were brought our salad without cutlery, we couldn't get anyone's attention so we grabbed our own, we were brought our soup with no soup spoons again we got our own. Then when the sushi came they gave us a pretty much empty soy sauce but we were able to get the attention for another one that time. Also waiting a long time for more water. Now this is pretty insignificant to us we don't mind but combined with the disappointing rolls in our Maki sets it was a bit annoying. I would understand if it was busy but when we were seated there was one couple almost done and a table of 4 that already had their meal so we just felt neglected. So for a 60 dollar dinner the only thing we enjoyed was a 15 dollar...

I enjoyed the absolute finest Sushi experience of my life at Pearl Sushi. I had tried Sushi before and was unimpressed but on my 39th birthday I was in Stratford and for reasons still unknown to me I decided to try Sushi again and was absolutely floored by the brilliant flavor and texture of well made Sushi. It was truly a life changing experience. I also really enjoyed the Pork Bone Soup. Spicy and wonderful. The family that own and operate this establishment are very nice and welcoming and the Chef who prepares everything is an artist who has obviously worked hard to master his craft. I have returned many times since and have never been disappointed. I will always remember my first visit and now measure all future Sushi experiences against what I have enjoyed at Pearl Sushi in Stratford Ontario. Dined here for lunch on a Friday. My guest and I were instantly greeted and seated upon entering. The waiter was extremely nice and responsive throughout our meal. We ordered a few sushi rolls and an appetizer. When I mentioned I would like to add Miso soup I was told it would be "on the house". This was just the beginning of the best sushi I ever had. The Vegetable Gyoza arrived along with our Miso Soup. Nearly done with the appetizers the double order or the California Roll arrived. Having enjoyed those the waiter brought over complementary Edamame while our next rolls were prepared. Our Hamachi Roll and Pink Flower Roll arrived together on a plate beautifully arranged. Last to our surprise a complement of the sushi bar staff a Spicy Tuna roll was delivered. This was an experience I will never forget and highly recommend.
