Stratford has been one of my favourite destinations for years. How did I not know about this place before??? Established a few years ago, Junction 56 boasts a delightfully curated selection of distilled spirits and an enthusiastic, friendly staff. Our tour started at the front desk and continue to their teeny-tiny working area in the back. Although the tour didn't cover a lot of square footage, the information packed a punch, and was small enough that we had time to ask questions and interact with the guide. I learned so much about the distilling process that I had never learned before. Following the tour, we were taken back out into the storefront area for a tasting. This was the most thorough tasting I have ever had, with a thorough tasting of all of their spirits. By far the best way to get to know a brand, and to market it! Kudos to Junction 56 for doing it right! I left with four, full sized bottles to stock our bar with, and a new favourite place to visit in Stratford. A great way to end a day of sightseeing before you head back to your accommodation to prepare for an evening out. I...
Read moreMy Husband and I found out about this Gin at a "Food & Drink Festival" a couple of years ago and always wanted to do the tasting tour. Well we finally did it this past weekend, it was great fun an experience, and informative our host was excellent! We tried everything it was a marvelous experience and very tasty to the pallet as well. My favourite is still the "Black Raspberry Gin" but the new purple Gin is a close second. I was not a fan of "Lemon Gin" but Junction 56 has very good one it has real lemon taste and one to keep in cabinet for sure, loved it. So much to try, vodka, rye, liquors & moonshine as well, all really superb. We will definitely go back and bring friends and I will be buying more of the other flavours they have to offer. Great time I highly recommend it and Stratford is a great little town to stay as...
Read moreThis landlord has no respect for the neighbourhood - after being brought to their attention the patrons of Jobsite continue to jump the curb on West Gore to exit/enter the parking lot. Given there is a school within eyesight distance and presumably the patrons have been drinking, it's extremely dangerous to pedestrians, cyclists and even other motorists - I've been cut off by a vehicle exiting the lot just a couple of weeks ago. I have called the police when I am able to get the license plate and description but at this point it negligent to not...
