The Livery Yard — Restaurant in Stratford

Every time I have went into this cafe I have not felt welcomed. For a cafe that has different flags to represent their support for certain social issues, I have always been made to feel out of place entering into the space as a person of colour. I saw the way they treat other customers and it was very different from the experiences I have had. Yesterday there were three staff members working and none of them acknowledged my cousin and I for about 5-7 minutes. Normally I wouldn’t mind if they were busy as I understand the stress of working in customer service, but two of them were standing behind the counter watching the other coworker. First off, what they've done to this space is stunning. It's bright and modern, you can tell a lot of thought went into making this place trendy.

Secondly, having said all that, it's still cozy as heck. Huge stone fireplace, comfy chairs to curl up in, original art pieces (locally acquired), bright green plants - really can't go wrong.

The staff is friendly, helpful, and are consistently improving on their speed (it's a new place!).

They've recently expanded their nibble type items, though I consistently reach for a pastry because you really can't go wrong, and many customizable options for beverages.

What a Gem of a Café in this dreamy town that time has forgotten!

Amazing staff, friendly, smiling and very helpful with places of iterest to look around..

The food is so good, their Croissant Breakfast sandwich with ham, bacon, egg and cheese was out of this world! Their Lattés and Cappuccinos are excellent. The cookies are not too sugary.

The ambience is chic, rustic and trendy, with positive attributes all around.

We went there for brunch for 2 days in a row.
