I had the worst service ever in all the 35 years that I've been going to A&W Restaurants. Thank goodness that I am really good at Math. When I placed my order at the cashiers till, I noticed that it came up to more than it should have, based on the posted prices on the menu display boards for us to order from. When I confronted/brought it to the cashiers attention, she gave me a dumb-founded look, and told me that I was wrong, BECAUSE the cash/till said it is what it says. When I told her to look up at the display board with the menu items and prices, and did the calculation right in front of her, and suggested that they honour the correct price, and fix the cash register pricing. She "said that she can't and won't". Whatever happened to the customer being right when they point out an error in there pricing??? Later a supervisor came out, and I addressed the situation with her... Again a dumb-founded look... Finally a comment of "Oh, there's a glitch in the display board, which is causing the difference in pricing on my order. I say: "Then FIX IT"! And be much more attentive and respectful of your customers, especially when the staff are wrong in this situation. When I've worked and owned different companies selling products, and there was a displayed price at or on the item that you want to buy, at a lower price than what came up on the cashiers till, they HAD to HONOUR that price, or if it was a big-ticket item, then they had to honour giving it at a 10-50% discount. And proper protocol in most businesses , would be to re-price the stock on the shelves, or to adjust the improper price on/in the cashiers till to avoid this from happening again with...

Walked in, Cori at the counter welcomed us with smile. Restaurant felt unusually cosy (perhaps because of the vase on each table..? :) )
Cori made sure we have unforgettable customer service. She indeed provided genuine services.
Thankfully it wasn’t just her but order came with satisfactory quality. Burger was made with great balance between veggies, meat, sauce.
People who work here have fabulous teamwork like family-a-like. They smile each other and casually check all the customers in the restaurant. I don’t think I’ve ever visited such fast food restaurant like this friendly, and with this quality food.
Let’s not forget the cleanliness of this restaurant. I don’t have to say anything - this place is clean from edge to edge.

Read moreA&W has always been one of my favourite fast food restaurants. This has always been a solid location. Manager was super helpful, staff was reasonably friendly. My most recent experience was decidedly negative and I will not be returning. Our group walked in with coupons for the Beyond Meat Burger (screencapped from the website). They had trouble with mine but it scanned from my phone eventually. Then they wouldn't accept my friend's coupon, which was the exact same situation. The manager simply told him they didn't accept online coupons (despite setting a precedent by accepting mine). If he had said "We'll do it for you this time, but that's not our policy" AFTER setting said precedent, that would be one thing, but he didn't. He gave us a tepid "No", and as we left, offered a snide "I don't make the rules." I ended up giving the burger to my friend, because this team couldn't honour a coupon.
