Barcelos Flame Grilled Chicken - Guildford — Restaurant in Surrey

Previously gave 5 star but changed it to 1 star today due to horrendous customer service. Lady on the phone didn't take my order correctly and when my partner bought the food home they made all the chicken super peri instead of very peri, which I repeated to her twice to confirm. My child couldn't eat the chicken so I called and was offered all the food to be replaced but nothing more for the inconvenience of going back and forth. When I a challenged this I was offered 10% off my next order..... why would I order again from this place? I asked for 10% on my partners card. The man Gurmeet refused said his systems don'twork like that. Then he told me to calm down and then basically called me a liar and hung up. The lady said l said super peri but my partner even told Gurmeet he was next to me when I ordered (why would I order super peri when a child is eating, and I go to this restaurant once a month, so Iknow that's extremely spicy). I called back after being hung up on and I asked for a full refund and he refused but I told him that's not how restaurant policies work. Needless to say my partner went back and we got a refund. Telling my friends, family and followers never to eat at this place again. They don't value their customers and have zero customer service skills. Save your money and go to Nandos or the several other halal restaurants...

Came in here for lunch & the atmosphere was very cozy, I could’ve sat there for hours. Everything was spotless, including the restroom. The staff was super friendly and attentive. I loved the big open windows, allowing me to look outside and just people watch. The music was a vibe, not sure if it was Portuguese music but it fit the atmosphere. Lastly, the food. It was so fresh, so good. My chicken kabob was succulent and had a nice char that enhanced that grilled taste. I got supa peri spice level (eat at your own risk). The cauliflower bites were a generous portion & very crispy. The garlic bread was fresh, buttery & garlicky. I am already craving everything again. The sides are very generous. Delicious, fair portions, relaxing ambiance! Barcelos tastes great, and in my opinion, offers better value for your dollar than other grilled chicken places!

A group of friends and I decided to eat out after playing in a volleyball tournament. Needless to say, we were quite hungry and wanted something savoury and satisfying. When we walked in, the first thing we noticed was how spacious the restaurant was!

We ordered the Super Family Pack (2 Whole Chicken, 3 Large Sides, 4 Rolls or Garlic Toast). Everything was served in a timely manner and the chicken was juicy, tender, and flavourful. Peri fries were crispy and the garlic toast was scrumptious! The portions were filling us 4-5 adults and we still had some to take home afterwards.
