Overly priced / bad service !

I’m so disappointed with this location! I used to come here numerous times in a year but unfortunately the service and quality keeps getting poorer and poorer.

Our reservation was at 7:30pm and we showed up at 7:30 PM expecting to be seated. First of all the hostess at the front didn’t show up until we waited there for 5 minutes. Then after she told us “oh we’re cleaning your table right now it should be 5-10 minutes”. 15 minutes goes by and finally we’re seated in a seat that had been empty since we got there.

Then our waitress rolls around and at first she was nice and took our order. However when we ordered entrees my husband wanted extra seasoning on his steak and she made the weirdest face. She then said “oh our steak is already seasoned it would be weird, I have to go ask the chef” . She goes to ask the chef and comes back with a yes it’s okay to add seasoning. We put our order in and got our appetizer within 10 minutes. However, we waited and waited and waited until the waitress finally came around and I had asked her where our food is. We expected to be out of this place by 9:05 we we ordered at 7:10 and didn’t receive our food until I asked her at 8:53 I had told her we have a movie to watch accross the street and needed to be out at 9:00.Magically she returns with the food at 8:53 (within minutes of me asking). I asked her for the bill right away and she was weird about that and made a face.

As she brought the bill and we paid and took take out boxes for a dinner we COULDN’T EVEN EAT. She said “oh sorry we had a large party tonight and that’s why your food was so late”. First of all, the party was in the dining room were sitting in the lounge so how does that effect your poor service.

Also if you had a large reservation, every resteraunt I have been to tells us “we’re just a bit busy tonight do your food may take longer”. She just didn’t even offer any type of compensation to rectify her actions/ service and we were so done with it.

Oh and also, it wasn’t even busy.

I suggest NOT TO GO HERE !!!!!! Overly priced for the service and quality...

I was craving steak, and wanted to go to Keg as we are a regular there, but my husband suggested Earl's it's pretty much the same.

The front host was nice and asked us what are we celebrating. I told her it's our Anniversary, she said I will let the server know (whatever that meant as there was no extra gesture).

The waiter was also a bartender and the bar wasn't busy. We had to call him a few times to get his attention and we were right beside him. We ordered steak dinner 9 oz. One with truffle fries. When we got our ordered I wanted to cry as the 9oz and the portion size was miniature, before we even took a bite the server asked us how was everything. I said we didn't start eating yet, hoping he would come by at least once to check on us. We usually order 10 oz steak at keg, and here was 9oz, but wow what a difference in both steak size and overall meal. At Kegs I have leftover steak because I am full. Here on the other hand, I was still hungry after the $100 meal for 2. The fries didn't taste of any truffle and was cold, wanted to mention this to the server but was hard to get his attention. The steak taste great, but we asked for medium rare and it was medium to more well done. Also in Keg we get the servers check on us several times during the meals, and would always surprise us with free desert and even wine for our special occasion guaranteed. Each and every time.

Usually I go to Earl's for appetizers with friends, but from this experience with price being even higher than keg and still leaving us hungry, I would never come back here for a meal and just stick to Keg where they go above and beyond.

After eating at Earl's we went to another restaurant for dessert and picked up take out from another restaurant because we were still hungry.

Other than that...

Went to earls after I picked up my son n from the airport. He was hungry and wanted the spinach dip so we drove to the earls by our house. We were seated relatively quickly in a booth. Then our waitress came over and let us know the grill was no working so no steaks were available no big deal. She asked what we would like to drink and my son ordered a gingerale and I wanted tea. Orange pekoe was not available so I had the English breakfast tea same thing so no issue. Drinks came and she forgot to put the hot water in my little kettle….i was like ok whatever. She went and got me the water. She did not ask if we were ready to order Appies and left. She literally came back 15 mins later. Apologized for the delay. So we order our appies and our mains. It literally took 30-40 mins to get our appies and they were luke warm like they had been sitting there! The waitress never asked if everything was good or if we needed anything and again apologized for the delay in getting our food. We weren’t even done our appies when our mains came. They were piping hot and really good. The hunan noodles and the kale and mushroom pizza. The Appies calamari and spinach dip was not good because it wasn’t hot. I don’t understand how restaurants think it’s ok to provide mediocre service and food at the prices they charge! I have zero problem paying and tipping but yesterday I was totally underwhelmed and seriously disappointed with the food and service! I always eat at Earls and DoorDash it too. I would have been happy with cup of soup and a grilled cheese I made myself yesterday. In this environment or inflation and cost of living people are watching every dime they spend and restaurants should appreciate the business and servers should appreciate people tipping. But hold up your end of the...

Decent selection of drinks during happy hour. 🍹🍺 The interior/vibe was nice and the seating was comfortable. Service here was also decent. Our server was friendly with a great attitude (forgot her name but she had a tattoo of a cat silhouette on her arm). My friend and I came here for some drinks and happy hour food during the Easter long weekend. 🐰 We both ordered personal sized pizzas off their happy hour menu and my friend also ordered one sushi taco. What we ordered: - x1 sushi taco - West Coast Prawn Pizza - Tropic Thunder Pizza - x2 classic margaritas (mango/strawberry) - rhino draft I ordered the West Coast Prawn Pizza and personally I found it good. It was exactly what I expected it to be. 🍤👌 My Indian friend ordered the Tropic Thunder Pizza and he absolutely hated it! His inner Ramsey was kicking in and he was very close to sending this abomination of a pizza back to the kitchen! His pizza was a soggy mess! He felt so unsatisfied he started craving fried chicken at a different restaurant... I felt bad for my Indian friend since my prawn pizza turned out fine and his looked like a soggy roti drenched in tomato sauce! The name of his pizza should be called Tropical Storm cause it looked like it was hit by a storm! I mean seriously...how does one mess up such a simple pizza? It looked worst than frozen pizza! 😠 Unfortunately, my Indian friend will have to go back to his country thinking about his terrible experience at this establishment. Anyways aside from that, everything else was good! I enjoyed what I ordered, but since I had company I think it's fair to review everything that was served on our table.

I hadn't been to Earls in a long time, and had the pleasure of being treated to a night out on August 21, Wednesday. My friend and I got seated in the lounge area and were given the VIP experience service by Larry the bartender. I was unsure of what beverage I would like, so I gave permission for him to surprise me. He was super attentive and asked what types of cocktails I liked and with that information, he cooked up a wizard concoction! He came back moments later with a orange-colored drink called "The Marilyn Monroe". This drink was like summer in a glass! It was perfectly orangey color, tart, sour and sweet all in one. It's actual ingredients are: Smirnoff Vanilla vodka, prosecco, passion fruit, fresh lime - 2 oz. For food, I ordered the Roast Beef Sliders and they paired super well with my second surprise drink made by Larry. He brought me a Grape Crush Vodka Soda 11.50, but he said he made it with Hibiscus syrup instead. OMG 😲, it was AMAZING 👏 🤩 (Smirnoff vodka, concord grape, sage, lime, soda - 1oz). The next thing that happened blew my mind. The manager, Jacob dressed in a really nice suit came to our table and asked about our experience and my surprise drinks 🍸. I'd never had this experience before in any dining/restaurant before, so it made me feel super special and vaguely important. Thank you Earls Guilford for turning what was a crampy day into a most memorable, positive experience. Thank you Larry & Jacob. 🤩👏🍸
