I don't mind this place. I wish they had more comfortable seating and that there was lower seating on the street side. It would be great if seats went to the Courtyard window and were comfortable. Mood lighting. Laptop Plug-ins at every table or booth. Maybe even carpet in areas. Tile is very uninviting. I wish there was a ramp inside the Blenz. I would like to see the lower washroom reopened as a Handicapped washroom with a change table. As for the drinks, it would be great if the girls made the drinks the same. Sometimes the Capichillo is burnt coffee. Sometimes there is no Caramel. Their Debit Machine is set up odd. It always asks about a tip. It took me 3 tries, with required tipping, to figure out that I needed to say yes to a tip, then push $0. Best to take that off in my opinion. I'll give cash if I can get consistent service. Also, bolt your Debit Machine Down and have it face the customer. Stores should never need to take a customer's Debit Card from them. People are savvy now and do not like handing over their cards. This will also speed up service. Despite asking numerous times for Nanaimo Bars, they have never thought to bring some in. The area to wait for drinks is awkward and lacks flow. I dislike all the sharp edges as they are not very child-safe and it would be great if their items were behind glass. Please start to carry some high chairs. I'd like to enjoy my coffee and putting my kid in a chair would surely help so I don't have to chase after him. Despite all these suggestions, great view location, but not being utilized properly. Maybe some nice Butcher Block Tables, Comfortable Leather Chairs, have a smaller door to the mall and use the space to the maximum usage. Bench seating. Reclaimed wood. White washed wood. Warm lighting. Felt on the bottom of the chairs so they don't scrape the floor. Maybe a heater over that large opening door? This place is good. It...
Read moreI was in here with my mother and my 2 children on Dec. 4th buying a hot chocolate for my son. The total time from lining up to order then waiting for them to make it was 20 min. But i still waited patiently. They had one minding the cash and one making the drinks. There was man walking back and forth behind the other 2 workers, not too sure what exactly he was doing because he certainly was not helping make any of the customers drinks. After finally getting the hot chocolate i walked over to where my mother was with my kids waiting and she was visibly upset. The man that was walking around the back had come out on to the floor to clear some tables and rudely said to my mom "are you kidding me!" She was holding a cup of coffee from yes another store Timmy's. He proceeded to say "just coming in here off the street for somewhere warm!" i marched over to him and gave him a piece of my mind, i did not swear but he knew i was visibly upset. He knew i was a paying customer and not once did he apologize. He cowardly went into the closet of the coffee shop and could care less he insulted or upset a paying customer. I asked this fellow's name which he did not provide but said he was the owner. I am actually quite saddened that someone who owns a business thinks it is ok to speak to paying customers the way he did. If it is not for your customers you would not have a business to own. I certainly hope this was just an off day for you mr. Owner and sure hope you do not treat others this way again. I will not be a patron at this establishment again for this very reason. The one employee who was making everyones drinks was constantly apologizing for the long wait and gave a warm smile. Now that Mr. Owner is an example of great customer service maybe you can learn a thing or two from...
