Donair Affair — Restaurant in Surrey

I am usually a huge fan of Donair affair, I've been to a number of their restaurants in Surrey. The chicken mushroom with jalapenos is what I always order, and they're always delicious. Tonight however, I stopped by the Donair Affair by Fraser Hwy and 160th, and ordered my usual. The girl did a perfect job of putting it together, and I brought it home to eat. It was for some reason quite a bit greasier than usual, but still good. This is however, until halfway through I found something very hard and sharp in my mouth. I spit my mouthful out only to find a sharp chicken bone, (about an inch and a half long), along with a number of smaller shards of chicken bone. I'm not sure how this happens as they usually carve the meat off the spit, so how would there be bones in it? I called the restaurant right away to bring it to their attention. I thought they should go through the pot of chicken with a fine tooth comb to ensure there were no more shards of bone in there. While the girl on the phone was very apologetic, she did say, "yes we know. Another customer complained about this earlier, it must be the supplier, but we're very sorry this happened to you." I got the feeling after hanging up that they weren't going to go through the chicken to check for bones. These are very sharp, dangerous shards of chicken. Thankfully I chew my food well because if I'd accidentally swallowed one of these shards, it could have done serious damage. It certainly has me doubting I'll order the chicken again. Hopefully...

I was feeling hungry and drove into this plaza complex for A&W. Unfortunately, they are remodelling and temporarily closed for construction. Then I saw pizza, Pho and donair. It was too hot of a day for a soupy pho, so I chose the donair for my quick bite in between jobs. Wow, spacious and bright! The first thought when I walk in; and on their menu “rice platter $13.49” sure I will have it because it comes with salad. So I said “ a lamb platter please” to the lady who is also talking on the phone with her Bluetooth on. As I looked into drinks fridge and grabbed a can of Coke, my order was ready!! Wow, that was fast, said in my mind as it wonders why the lady didn’t ask me if I wanted it Spicy or not, or what kind of salad dressing……So anyways I paid and sat down to get ready to shuffle everything down. There were so much sauce on my lamb. Which covers everything, and my first few bites was nothing but sauce. Yea, it comes with a half folded pita breads and that helped me swallow my food so it’s not as salty. Normally I like my sauces, but not when everything is covered with Sauce. Thank god that I bought a can of coke too. Will not...

Love this specific location of donair affair but I had to address this issue I had today, maybe the employee wasn't trained properly so I don't blame her but they normally fry the falafels, because the fryer needed to be cleaned, she microwaved the falafels for 45 sec in the microwave which I believe was in a plastic container, at first she told me the fryer was not working and down but later admitted it needed to be cleaned, this is after taking the first bite and realizing that the falafels were very cold and didn't taste the same. She offered to cook it on the grill but i refused because they cook meat on it as well. I asked for my money back and she gave me my money back minus the tip I left her, after returning the food ,after one bite. If the fryer needs to be washed or down you should not be serving it and let the customers know, but other than that I have been here many times and the food/service...
