09/2024 - Came here at lunch with a co-worker to try out this Korean restaurant that replaced Dae-ji Cutlet House.

The restaurant was nice and servers were friendly. They only had 2 items for lunch special ($13.95) and I had one of them called "Gogi GookSu" (beef noodle in beef bone broth soup).

The noodle soup came with 2 sides (kimchi and bean sprouts) and they are refillable. The beef was a bit chewy and the noodles were soft. The highlight of this dish was the beef bone broth soup ... after the first sip, my mind was blown away. I've had this in Korea and I have to say it brought me back there again when I had it in South Korea at a food stall.

Looking forward to coming back here again to try other dishes. Thanks.

11/2024 (see pics #4+) - Came here with my wife for her bday dinner and ordered SoonDuBu JiGae Set (Spicy Soft Tofu stew in a clay pot with seafood) & Assorted Katsu Set (Pork Cutlet, Chicken Cutlet, Fish Cutlet and Breaded Shrimp, Rice & Miso Soup). Both sets were pretty good and tasty and comes with sides that are refillable. My wife enjoyed the spicy tofu souop and the nice variety of fried items was appreciated. The only complaint we had was the loud patrons (korean seniors) but made the restaurant feel more authentic. All good and will...

I ordered the DakGalbi (spicy chicken stir fry) via UberEats.

In my search for the perfect DakGalbi that I had in Edmonton many years ago, I've been trying out Korean restaurants in B.C. to have a regular shop I can buy from.

This restaurant must be new? It just suddenly popped up in my recommended and I had to try it out.

The restaurant was actually quite far from my home, and the delivery driver had many orders before mine (I was the 5th) but the food arrived pretty hot.

The DakGalbi was quite different from what I usually see from other restaurants;

The chicken were much bigger than the usual bite sized pieces. The sauce was much less spicy, and more sweet sand savory. They had a perfect ratio of chicken-to-vegetables balance in the dish.

I was quite pleased with this order, though I felt that the pricing was just a tad bit high - I say it was quite worth it.

So far this restaurant has had the best DakGalibi, though when I visit in-person, I would request some slight changes.

Looking at the other items on the menu, they are more affordable than other Korean restaurants. My friends and I will definitely be...

We chanced upon this Korean restaurant on the way to another one tonight. Ordered fried flounder which came with rice, miso soup and three side dishes. The fish was lightly battered and crispy and the dipping sauce was delicious without being salty. The japchae had grilled beef with smokey flavour- it was different from other japchae that I had but it’s delicious! The sweet soy Korean fried chicken was beautifully plated on a bamboo steamer, garnished with lightly battered potato slices, topped with sautéed slices of white sweet onions and served with pickled carrots and radish with a small bowl of rice. The boneless chicken pieces were crunchy and the flavour was just right. The food here is fresh with high quality ingredients and the variety of food on the menu was amazing: there is something for everyone. There are certain menu items that are unique to this restaurant. Service is attentive and friendly and the place is clean and well lit. I like the Korean modern music playing on the sound system. It adds to the enjoyable ambiance. The price is reasonable and portions are big. I highly...

This place is a pass. The random low reviews you’ll find here are warranted. There is potential here but it misses on a lot. A lot of the food isn’t fresh. The pork cutlets are dry and cold, the udon was salty. But these weren’t the area that bothered me the most. I ordered the clam knife cut noodles and for some reason the rice and side dishes come by itself. Then the rice that came with it wasn’t even half a scoop. I asked what happened and she just looked at me like this is it. I asked her is this for real? To which the server knew and felt bad but said management wouldn’t allow any more. I was just surprised this is where they’re choosing to cut corners 🤣 the ttuk-bok-ki also came with such little serving for the size of plate and the ridiculous $17 they charge 🤣 feels like things are just warmed up rather than cooked and a lot of things were off. A hard pass in my opinion
