Curry Way — Restaurant in Surrey

Today we went to Curry Way in the Guildford Mall food court around 5:00 p.m. to order one portion of Bhatura with chickpea curry and a goat curry to go. The girl who ( She's little big made with long hair and chubby) served us was really rude and unhelpful. The goat curry tray was almost empty, and she was filling the container mostly with gravy—there were only four small pieces of meat. When I asked her about it and pointed out that it didn’t feel right, she told me bluntly, “This is the way we serve it,” instead of bringing more meat from the kitchen. Honestly, I think the owner should be made aware of this situation, because customers should receive fair portions for what they pay. To add, this server was quite dismissive, while another girl who took my order, unfortunately wasn’t serving my food by the time ready to serve in the big container .I left feeling very frustrated and disappointed with the service...

I find the owner’s snarky and dismissive responses to people’s reviews to be very distasteful. It’s probably the owner’s teenage son replying and they don’t know about it. I would hope, at least.

I ate here yesterday and ordered 2 chicken skewers with rice. I actually picked out the first one because it looked more well-grilled than the other ones with some nice charring, but it turned out to be dry, hard and inedible. Obviously they had re-grilled it as it had been left over from previous days. So I took it back and had them replace it with another of the newer skewers. Chicken still pretty dry, but edible and I was happy enough.

Then in the middle of the night I had to jump out of bed and run to the bathroom multiple times with diarrhea. It was not pretty, ruined my night’s sleep and will affect my work day today. I don’t trust this place’s standards of food safety. Wish I had eaten some...

I should have read the reviews first. Two stars is generous for this place. To start, the customer service is horrendous. She cut me off multiple times and dismissed my questions. She served me 7up when I asked for Diet Pepsi and when I told her I wanted Diet Pepsi, she told me, "you said 7up." I absolutely did not say 7up as I haven't had 7up in about a decade. Also, she filled the cup with 7up and then dumped the ice in. So when she went to fill my Diet Pepsi I asked to please put the ice in first. Ignored me, filled the cup then dumped the ice in afterwards. I guess I'll have my pop flat. That's just the service. As for the food, it wasn't hot, maybe because the service took so long, and I could only eat a bit of it as I found metal bristles. Probably from their scrub cleaners.
