OPA! of Greece Guildford Town Centre — Restaurant in Surrey

Ive eaten at this location many times..each time I was disappointed..today is the end of it. I ordered calamari and beef souvlaki. The calamari that was given to me was swimming in oil (yes, i know it is deep fried but they cud hav drained the oil better before pouring it to the container) and was very rubbery! I have pictures to show...I had a hard time chewing it that i ended up just spitting it and basically just eating the batter part of it. The actual squid appears to be old or over cooked that it turned so rubbery that u cant even chew it and swallow. On top of that, the service is not that good. I was just informing the lady about my 1st order when she cut me off before i can get on my 2nd order...clearly dismissing that i was about to order something else...because she just told me the price of the first thing I ordered. I had to literally told her that I am ordering more. She seems to be in a hurry and just did not care. Ive seen better customer service. Beef was otherwise as expected..so-so..u get what u pay.. but nothing...

Edit: The manager contacted me and compensated us two meals because of the issue! They also apologized and explained the grill was not working that morning. This is really good customer service! People make mistakes. It's what they do with it that counts! Adjusting my review stars to reflect this. :)

Warning! Don't go when the store opens if you're hungry because you might have to wait for half an hour for your food!

We got there at 11:00, and was told twice that it'll only take 5 more minutes. I was also surprised at how slowly the employees moved to get the store ready. I used to work in food service and retail, but maybe times have changed? In the end, they got our order wrong (asked for no feta and still had it on the salad) probably because she forgot after being so long. The other customers after us were quite upset. Hopefully it's a one time thing, she did in the end say sorry for the delay!

Otherwise, we love the food at OPA and go eat...

On regular basis I keep visiting this location and always get amazing food and always find the staff to be really nice and welcoming. But giving low rating just because of the recent not so good experience because of this girl who made my pita wrap and fries on 13th Dec around 8:40 pm. The fries were not cooked properly as she took the fries out of the frier within just few seconds, the portion was really small and the wrap was not properly stuffed. That kiddo must be taught that people spend their hard earned money to get the food, so make it worth the money they are spending. Even her attitude/vibe was not so impressive. Seemed untrained. Low rating just because of this recent disappointing experience. Never had such bad experience at any of Opa s...
