We ordered from here off Skip the Dishes, we've eating in the restaurant before and enjoyed out meal so we decided we would do delivery this time. All our items shows up very well made, elegantly boxed up considering its delivery. Rolls were well made, sashimi was fresh. Biggest pet peeve with sushi is not properly cooked rice, loose rolls that fall apart and bad knife work on the sashimi but Hanaya passed with flying colors.
Double Spicy Tuna Roll: Nice and tightly rolled spicy tuna rill topped with fried tempura bits and a spicy mayo. A+ Quite a Combo: This was a great deal for what you pay. Come with Deluxe dynamite roll, jumbo California roll and jumbo jam roll. Again all nice and tightly rolled, fresh ingredients and rolls are big. Great deal for $16 Chopped Scallop Roll: Basic roll with chopped scallop, good ratio of scallop to sauce, not too watery and did not taste or smell fishy. Appetizer Sashimi 5pc: Consists of 3pc tuna and 2 pcs wild salmon. Pieces were nice and thick, knife work on point, fatty, buttery and tasted very fresh.

Read moreI’m really disappointed with the service I received during my recent visit. This was my second experience, and unfortunately, it was just as frustrating as the first. I ordered 3 Crazy Boy, 1 Red Dragon, and 1 Las Vegas special roll, with that being said that it would be ready in 20-25 minutes. I arrived about 30 minutes later, and saw my 5 boxes ready to go. The place was quiet, and there didn’t seem to be any other orders being prepared. After waiting for 5 minutes, I approached the lady with short hair and bangs to ask if my order was ready, and she gave me attitude, saying “almost done!” A few minutes later, she put the already-prepared boxes into a bag and handed them to me. I was taken aback and expressed my frustration, as it seemed unreasonable to make me wait when my order was clearly ready. I expected better service and communication. Read moreWe have been ordering from Hanaya for years and even for our special occasions like our son’s first birthday, as we loved their sushi and attention to my husband’s gluten sensitivity, but we had a horrible experience today, when we ordered our regular “real crab rolls”, and both realized that they put an imitation crab with the real crab (I assume to save the cost or thinking that customers would not notice). Well, we definitely noticed: the colour and the taste gave it away and 10 minutes later my celiac husband started his suffering journey from excruciating stomach pain. It is very sad and disappointing, but most importantly dangerous. We need to give heads up to people with the same health condition, so they are careful ordering from this restaurant.
