What an evil McDonald's 👿 I came here to pick up an order for Uber before the main restaurant opened. Drive thru only. They let the drivers grab orders at the door through a window. As I was waiting for my order in the parking lot a homeless man came up to see if they were open. They weren't and he was upset because he was extremely thirsty, he needed water badly.
So when they brought my order I simply asked them if they could get me some water for the thirsty gent, and she said no. I said what do you mean? I told them this guy was thirsty and needed water. She said no sorry we're not supposed to. I said well can you make an exception? She said no without hesitation, and that this was their manager's policy. I tried to reason with her further, but she adamantly refused to provide a simple cup of water for a very thirsty homeless man. I couldn't believe it. So before I left I went through the drive-thru, ordered a fruitopia and a large cup of water. When I went to pay I used an old card and it was declined obviously. I said well can I at least get the water? The girl there, a different girl, kind of hesitated lol, I think she knew what I was up to. Regardless, at least she was considerate enough to give me the water, which I then gave to buddy who was very appreciative.
I would understand, like, not giving water to people before the restaurant is open that, you know, have money and vehicles and easy access to water at 5 a.m. But to not make an exception for a homeless man, out in the cold, who can't buy himself a drink, is... I think Evil. I think that meets the criteria for evil.
Like that is so ridiculous. Have you ever been very thirsty with no immediate access to water? It's the worst physical feeling of all the physical feelings. Worse than hunger, worse than being cold or hot, worse than nausea, worse than being out of breath, worse than having to piss real bad. It feels like torture, you know, what with water being extremely crucial for bodily functions and life and what not.
I got lost on a mountain once with no water nearby (long story), and damn... To be truly, truly thirsty is just a torturous feeling. This guy was very thirsty I could tell by the pained expression on his face.
So, anyway, sorry for making you pour that Fruitopia, but I think McDonalds will be okay. He was super thankful, but it really isn't a big deal to get someone water. That is, if you're not working under the manager of this McDonald's, who sounds like a jerk. As for the employee, like, c'mon, if there's ever time to break a rule... That was one of them. Shameful.
Also your system for making Uber drivers text the restaurant doesn't work half the time. Sometimes I'll come here, text the order number, and I get no reply and have to wait for an employee to spot me waving at them outside, which for one of the two times I picked up here this morning, took them a good three or four minutes. Why can't you just do it like every other McDonald's? Are drivers really that big of a nuisance to have in there during the daytime? And is your drive-thrus so clogged at 5:00 in the morning you can't facilitate a simple pickup for a delivery driver? Usually when I get no response from the text system, like 3 or 4 hours later I'll be driving and finally get a response saying "your pickup is ready". So if your pick up system doesn't even work properly, fix it, or deal with uber pickups like any other McDonald's or restaurant for...
Read moreToday is the first day of me never eating mcdonalds ever again. I just went through the drive through at this location and bought a quarter pounder with cheese meal with a large fries and 6 nuggets on the side. I get home to realize they gave me a medium fries... Little did I know that was the least of my worries to come. The fries were rock hard and cold. Didn't eat them. The burger was also gross. Old, stale, crusty bun. The meat tasted old as well but it was still quite warm. What happened here? I am hungry so I eat a few bites despite its flaws. Then Ahhh! a chunk of bone in the meat grinds against my teeth. At this point I had to spit it out and put it down. No more. Now, the nuggets must be the saving grace, as they always are. The lid flips open to some unusual looking objects. The colour is 10 shades darker than I have seen. They also seem smaller than the mcnuggets of my past, but quality over quantity people. I reach for the biggest of the little feet shapes expecting there to be an extra crispy crunch as I bite in. Whats this? Its not crispy at all? Even soggy one could say. The inside was giving me more something gelatinous, than it was chicken. But the dipping sauce was as consistently delicious as it always is, and thankfully able to distract from this sad, sad state of affairs. As I sat on my couch finishing the last of these itty bitty abominations it occurred to me that I just spent money on this. I just handed over $20 to some disassociated teenage employee that could not give less of a damn how much I enjoyed my mcdonalds, when I could have given it to the homeless woman sitting on the corner and saved us all a little bit of misery. If anyone has made it this far, please don't even bother going to mcdonalds. It is barely even real food and 90% of the time it doesn't taste as good as you had imagined or hoped for. This has really been a blessing in disguise for me, and I hope this could save you a little bit of mcmisery in the...
Read moreThis is by far the worst McDonald’s in central Surrey. The atmosphere is just terrible it’s one of the main homeless/drug addict hangout spots in the area and nothing is done to fix this loitering issue, Witch leads to disgusting floors, bathrooms, booths and exterior of the building. Rats visibly running around outside, groups of homeless sitting in garbage, screaming, nodding off & occasionally getting arrested outside, a constant mess. The staff is hit and miss I’ve had some pleasant experiences with some as well as off-putting rude interactions with others, ie: today all of the drive thru ordering screens were blank and not working, the girl at the window had a nasty condescending unprofessional attitude while taking my grandmothers order. These are small things compared to the quickly thrown together food you receive. 80% of the time I go to this location for breakfast my egg is GREEN and uneatable. The amount of times I’ve had to go back through the drive thru for missing and poor quality items has actually prompted this review. Ie: green/grey eggs, burgers with disgusting clumps of stuff that looks like it came from the floor stuck to the bun or the inside the burger, large hard pieces of lettuce core, pickles when you say no pickles 99% of the time, hairs of all shapes and sizes. I could go on and on with how often this happens when I visit this location. The quality control on all fronts is virtually non existent. If you’ve stumbled upon this review just know you should - AVOID THIS LOCATION. If your management and reading this - DO BETTER. I hate to be that guy but this needed to be said. The location is busy and convenient for a lot of people but it’s sub par or worse every single time. -poutine is gross don’t get it. -check your eggs and bring them back if they are discoloured and old. -go to Burger King it’s right beside it and a...
