Original Joe's — Restaurant in Surrey

I really did not want to leave a bad review, however, tonight was my son's birthday so we decided to have take out and a nice family dinner I ordered 3 burger dinners and when I arrived for pick up I was walking to the bar to pay, a server stopped me and I told her I was picking up, she asked my name, then with tone and a face told me to wait at the door like I was a skip the dishes driver. (I always pay credit and the machines are at the bar) so then the manager came to the podium where I was told to stand (totally felt unwelcome waiting to pay a bill upwards of $80) and she knew something was wrong. I explained and she took me to the bar and apologized for the rude server (more than once) I waited for my order and the woman who was the manager, went into the back and maybe she said something to the rude server..... either way she gave me a friend's and family discount, again apologizing, and I thanked her and tipped her for my order. When I got home and saw my order, I was so put off!!!! It was like someone stepped on the fries, they were cold and flattened, my burger was sus as well and I was very nervous to eat it, lost my appetite immediately and told my family to look through their orders as well, honestly we went to Wendy's for my son's bday dinner, I can't prove it, but the food was definitely tampered with and we are all horrified. I have worked in F&B for many decades. The server obviously was reprimanded for being a mean bag when I came in; in turn told the cook, who, God only knows what he did least if all give me fries off the floor. We will not return. I was super grateful for the nice manager for trying to make it better, but the server never showed her face to me again and the food was beyond grossly tampered with. Sorry OJ.... used to be one...

I visited this location at 9 pm on a Saturday night. I was seated quickly despite the fact the restaurant was busy.

I ordered a chicken wrap with salad and fries. I was informed by my server who was 18 years old, and incredible at his job, that they were out of avocado. I asked if they would discount the avocado cost from the bill. He stated he would speak with the manager.

When it came time to pay the bill, he stated his manager said they cannot discount the price of the avocado from the bill.

I was going to pay full price regardless but wanted to see if they would do it for several reasons. The first being how accountable are they with their inventory and supplier systems and second, how do they value their customers.

The worst part of this situation was the manager sent the 18 year old waiter over to me and failed to visit my table herself in an attempt to explain why they couldn’t meet my request. That demonstrates total lack of accountability and leadership. I, without question, would have walked to the table and explained my position and decision to the guests face to face.

Overall the food was correct, tasty, hot, served in under 13 minutes.

This place does not deserve any stars! Came in Sunday August 3rd 2025 at around 9.25 on a long weekend.Guy and a girl behind the bar they look at my daughter and I and the guy goes into the kitchen in the back.Waitress is behind the bar she can see us but doesn't come help us we wait 5-10 minutes then she comes up and says last call is 9.30 which is the time it is when she finally came up! We tell her we don 't want drinks just something light to eat.
