Osmow's Shawarma — Restaurant in Surrey

I usually don’t write negative reviews but the owner needs to see before its too late and take some actions. This place used to be my favorite. I always recommended it to everyone but it has lost its value. Experience #1: I recommended this place to my workplace for Christmas Lunch. The order was not too big only 3 platters, 2 wraps and one appetizer. They told me to come and pay for the order first then they would start preparing it (it kills the whole purpose of ordering in advance?). I had to leave my workplace earlier just to pay for the order. I came back just to find out that they forgot to put appetizer in my bag. I went back to get it. They gave me hummus without tortilla chips. Thankfully, I checked before leaving the restaurant. When I came back to my workplace my coworkers told me that the rice was very very stale and dry. I felt so embarrassed to even recommend it to my coworkers. Experience #2: I was coming back from a long flight and stopped at Osmow’s to get some food before going home. I asked the guy who was taking my order if he charged me for the large box not once but 3 times. I asked him 3 times!!!! He said, “Yes”. I paid and stepped away from the counter. The girl who was working in the kitchen told that guy that he had charged me for a regular size box and she would prepare a regular size box. The guy called me to the register again and told me to pay for the rest of the money($3) for a large box. Excuse me? A person is there for a good experience and good food. I was so tired and having to repeat myself a thousand times and tapping my card again and again was not fun. Also just a suggestion, there was an elderly Arab woman behind me. The poor woman had to spent 30 mins explaining herself to the person taking orders. If people come to enjoy their ethnic food at least hire some people who understand and speak their language so they don’t have to stress about explaining themselves. The place is not...

I recently tried Osmow’s Shawarma for the very first time after my friend Sahil recommended it to me, and I have to say—it was an absolutely amazing experience!

From the moment I walked in, the place had a fresh and welcoming vibe. The staff was super friendly and patient, making sure I got exactly what I wanted. The service was quick, and everything was made right in front of me, which gave me a lot of confidence in the quality and freshness of the food.

Now coming to the star of the show—the food! 🍴 I ordered their shawarma and honestly, it was one of the best I’ve ever had. The meat was tender, juicy, and full of flavor, perfectly spiced without being overwhelming. The toppings were fresh and crisp, and the sauces were absolutely delicious—they balanced the flavors so well. The portion size was generous too, leaving me more than satisfied.

What really impressed me was how everything tasted so authentic yet modern. It’s not just fast food—it feels like a proper meal that’s been made with care. Every bite was a mix of bold flavors and freshness, and I can definitely see why so many people love Osmow’s.

Was super excited to try this place based on the reviews! But unfortunately the reviews are not an accurate representation of the food and price paid.

We ordered 2 items wanting to try them both, one of them was a wrap and some meat on rice (just keeping this simple and not using there “marketing” names)

1. the wrap, it was wrapped in a thin sort of roti style that was flavourless and tastes like thin cardboard, and could barley handle holding the fillings. The onions, pickled radish and banana peppers were chunky, and seems to just be thrown into the wrap in a rush without care, the sauces were trash and flavourless and the meat was overcooked, salty with chewy chunks I had to spit out. Overall a 1/10, only reason I tried eating as much as I could was because I ordered it and became more disappointed with each bite.

The bowl. the chicken was flavourless, and worked non-synergistic with the toppings which again seemed to just be thrown on in a rush with the flavourless sauces. The rice, not sure if it’s the style but tasted undercooked and unseasoned. Overall it was disgusting! 1/10

I am still appalled at all the 5 star reviews, how are people eating this disgusting food, want really good tasting middle eastern food go to Tasty Donair!!
