We have gone to this place for years. I usually take my family there for birthdays. It used to have meat and seafood to BBQ, but now only meat. We just went today for my birthday. In the past it has been good. But today was a new experience. They wanted to seat us at a table, we said booth, so got seated at booth. There were three of us and the raw food plates didnt fit on the small booth table. So we picked up our plates and sat at a larger table with enough room. The older server and youger ladies came over and rudely said we cant sit there and why didnt we ask first. I was really shocked at the aggressive attitude they gave. Then I mentioned we would like to have more room, could we sit there until its busy and we would be happy to move. The server young lady came over and gave a lecture about the work involved in changing the seating in the computer. Then guilted us by sating the rules of restaurants are to ask before changing seats and that to never do it again. Agressive guilt trip. So she said it was ok just this one time only. We ate and some of the precooked food wasnt tasty. The meat was great, I always bbq only meat and love it. Then we paid and I tipped the male server who was so nice when he changed the grill for us. The two females on the other hand were harsh and agressive to long time paying customers. Please and thank you, and maybe a "sorry this table is for 6 or more" instead of what was said "you cant just choose your own seat and just sit there, you have to move back!" So rude. That might be the last time there. So sad the lack of customer service they have. Bye soul bbq. Maybe The Keg is better for my birthday next year, much...
Read moreIf we didn't have covid before, we probably do now. I was disgusted and shocked to see so many hands sharing tongs, without so much as a paper towel to handle them with- even the wretched gas stations give you that much at least to handle the nozzel. Then they take it upon themselves to include a tip in the bill ? Get f%#@ed! That's something you EARN! NOT something you're ENTITLED to. Oh and I just love how they won't split the bill. I was expected to pay for all 10 of my guests ? This creates an awfully embarrassing and awkward situation. Then there are the gloveless servers who handle dirty plates from multiple tables then cross contaminate everything and outright dictate the use of the grill- fiddling with it all the time while we're trying to cook our meat- just have the kitchen staff do it then- what the hell is the point of having your guests cook thier oun food ? And it's not even marked on the dial how to start it or what the low or high settings are- you just have to guess and hope lol. The grill exhaust fans don't even work if you do manage to start the fire. And how hard is it to fix the cockeyed broken lamps with dust all over them? If you can read through the grime and filth, There are signs at the tables to "wear a mask and gloves to the buffet- gloves ? what gloves ? There are Many finger foods- yet only a couple of paper napkins? Wow, Let's ensure we get sick- God forbid there's a bowl of warm water to clean those greasy fingers - then go back and grab those grubby tongs 900 others have touched, even found their handle in the raw meat. I swear to God I'd feel safer licking the feet of a...
Read moreWOW! Our first visit and the staff...service...and food are great. This is authentic Korean food and dinning. At under $23 per person the price is extremely low for the food selection. Anyone review complaining about price is detached from reality. The ONLY complaint I have is the pork cutlets were too hard and dry to eat. I am a regular customer from this day forward.
Our second visit...not so great. The food and prices are still great...but the service took a serious nose dive. We were so cold we wore our jackets while eating. The waitress offered to move us to a different table then disappeared. We complained about the excessively cold temperature and breeze when leaving and were brushed off with, "It's cold everywhere in the restaurant."
We ordered a bottle of soju that never arrived and were again met with a who cares attitude and no effort to correct the mistake.
Our first visit was fantastic...but the second was horrible...WORST SERVICE EVER!
UPDATE...subsequent visits have been frequent and favourable until yesterday (April 25). All was going well until a piece of metal, from a scub pad, was found on a veggie plate brought to our table. It was among some shredded and seasoned white radish. I immediately brought it to the attention of staff...and after a curt apology the plate was taken away. When paying the manager only apologized a second time and and assured me they would be more careful in the future. I know I would have done much more than this had I been in...
