FANTASY SUSHI — Restaurant in Surrey

New sushi spot in Guildford replacing a previous sushi resto. I noticed their sign while driving by. Ordered take out for the family. It was nice there was %10 off though when you check out there's a mandatory tip that does not let you edit the amount. The lowest tip amount is %10. So pretty much no discount. We ordered a variety of rolls. Chopped scallop, alaska, cali, dyna and house rolls. We also ordered sashimi and a spicy sashimi. The food was solid. Def fulfilled a sushi craving. The spicy sashimi could have been better. There were diff levels of sauci-ness and spice. The sushi was fresh and tasty. We went back the next day to dine in. We ordered a bento box and special rolls. My go to orders always include takoyako, gomae and if there's one, a deep fried cali roll. They had all on the menu. I ordered a chicken bento and asked to replace the cali roll for deep fried. To which they did, which was nice of them. I also ordered the lunch special which allows you to choose 3 items on their list. Allowed me to try a variety of things without breaking the bank.

The service was okay, not great, nothing special. We had to call the waitress several times and at the time we were the only ones in the resto. They were friendly enough. The prices were very decent. If you're looking to save a couple bucks then I'd head over here. There are better places in the area but this place deserves a try. It will satisfy sushi cravings...

I don’t know if it was just an off rice day, but the rice was different. Not a lot of avocado in the Vancouver roll, mostly California roll crab mix. The pork gyoza were delicious with vinegar! Recommend for sure. The gomae was delicious and crunchy with a healthy portion. The wild salmon nigiri tasted fresh and was a decent size. They seemed surprised that I wasn’t getting take out. Went for lunch with friends. The server was super attentive. They have some great Bento box's and combos. I got the $16 pick three items. Got two rolls and agedashi tofu. I got the crunch Cali roll which was one of the best rolls I've had recently. Little crispy pieces of heaven on top, with a nice spicy sauce. 🤤🤤 Will be back for sure to try some of their...
