Vera's Burger Shack — Restaurant in Surrey

Going to this Vera's is like going fishing: you never know what you're going to get. About half of the time our food is every bit as good as we hope it will be. Sometimes, it's so bad, we swear we'll never go again. Last night was one of the bad times. We had takeout, and after about a 20 minute wait, we went home with our dinner. The burgers were undercooked (pink) inside, and both the fries and onion rings were just plain nasty. They obviously hadn't changed their fry oil in a while. We were in a hurry to be done and go somewhere, so we didn't have time to take it all back and have them re-make everything.

So my advice is: if you do choose to go here, eat in, so that you can complain without having to drive or walk back to the restaurant.

Also, don't be fooled by their coupon for a "Free Combo". There is no punctuation on this coupon, so it's easy to think that you can buy a burger combo and get one free. What it really means is that you can add fries and a drink to any burger for free. Two combos, one with onion rings, still came to $25 even after the coupon, for a meal that was far...

I used to be a big fan of Vera's quality for hamburgers. My usual go to was the Davie location before the pandemic but instead tried this one since was in the area. Big mistake! Firstly, the burger was a sloppy greasy mess that couldn't even stay together half way through. Every ingredient was impossible to keep together. It was SATURATED in grease. Secondly, it literally tasted like someone took costco ground beef, put a seasoning in it, and made that patty. That thought was also reinforced by the fact I watched them use costco havarti cheese on my burger. If I am paying $16 for a burger, it better be something I can't make at home without a ton of effort... and sadly I am confident I could do better with minimal effort. I decided to go to Vera's Burger shack since I heard alot about it . I wasnt happy with the burgers there . The burger were juicy and the topping were spot on . But with little to no sauce on the burger , It fall flat on it . After spending almost 10.50 for JUST the burger ( canuck burger with mushrooms) , You should be just loving it but sadly I was complaining about it . White spot burger is better than this one or Red robin . The fries were good and the chili , My wife loved it but since I would be going there for the burgers . I wont be ever going to this place again . Too expensive for a plain ok burger that I could get at another place . 5 guys and fries , I will have to check out...
