Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Edmonton

Love the location, typically love your pizza. We’ve been alternating between local pizza shops, including this one, since 2012. BUT, just ordered some pizzas for delivery for the big game today, my elderly father insisted to pay. First issue is the lack of toppings on the 3 Medium Specials. If the goal is to cut back on toppings, don’t put it on special. I’d rather pay the full price and have the pizza done right. Secondly, and the biggest issue with todays order: the delivery driver. Upon delivery, he decides that the tip didn’t cut it, and asks for more tips at the door. Pardon me? I was confused at first, I said, “I’m sorry? My father paid, and I’m sure he tipped, no?.” He goes on to tell me that he would like more money for the delivery; brought us extra plates and napkins, just in case, and rushed over to not keep us waiting. Beyond offensive and unacceptable. Either YOU can start paying the drivers a living wage, or you can simply take it out of our $60 underwhelming pizzas (with near no toppings) and tip him as you please. I was so embarrassed for my father. This will be our last time with Papa John’s.

PS. Why doesn’t the $4.99 delivery fee go to the driver, what’s the fee for otherwise? I’d like to think that one could have pizza delivery for less than additional $10 in fees and gratuities. Trust me when I say Pizza Palace for the win in this...

I moved to Edmonton at the end of January (Southside) and have ordered from this location probably around 10 times through various apps (Skip, DoorDash etc.) and every single time I’ve gotten a BBQ Chicken and Bacon pizza. They have literally not f*cked up once.. every pizza I’ve gotten from them has been perfect. Crust is doughy and amazing, sauce ratio is perfect and it tastes the same every time. I’ve gotten BBQ Chicken and bacon pizzas from the Northside location (area where I work) and it’s always a guessing game how they’re going to make it this time around. Cannot say enough good things about this location and how they prepare their food, I’ve only actually been in the restaurant once to pickup a pizza so I can’t comment on the staff (which I’m sure they’re super humans and completely competent as they can make an A1 pie every time, corporate office, if you’re seeing this review, these people deserve raises). If you’re ordering from Papa John’s, it’s worth your time to go out of your way to go to this location!

And yes, I really like BBQ Chicken and Bacon pizzas, as you can tell. Keep on keepin’ on, Papa...

Awful customer service. Got sent a code for 50% off, we've only had it once before. I tried at least 6 different ways to order a pizza, use the code and never once would it work. No way to contact them by phone online. Googled it. The woman who answered was very unhelpful and just kept repeating the same thing, sorry I can't help you with that. Come here and I can show you how. I said it's 27C, for the 3rd day in the row, I'm hot and I wanted delivery, plus it was rush hour on a Friday. Sorry I can not help you. I told her that this was terrible customer service and I will NEVER order from them again. Oh! Wait, here's my manager. Went through the whole rigmarole several times, I was getting frustrated, then he said lots of customers are coming here because it doesn't work. You HAVE to come here. I asked if I went there, I could order a pizza and get 50% off? He said NO. He would only show me how. I hung...
