I recently visited sushi station that left me utterly disappointed. Charging $26 for a Bento box is nothing short of a rip-off. The Salmon Teriyaki was hard, not fresh, and disappointingly meager in portion. Instead of being moist, flaky, and thick, the salmon was thin and dry. Furthermore, the broccoli served alongside was nearly raw and devoid of flavor, clearly undercooked. The amount of rice provided was negligible, nearly a tablespoon, which is laughable.
The teriyaki sauce lacked any redeeming qualities, and the salmon sushi consisted merely of shredded pieces, with no fresh fish or tangible protein in sight. The price was exorbitant for the value and taste offered. The udon noodles were bland and damp, far from being dry, smoky, and flavorful. Even the container was not filled adequately, adding further insult.
I urge potential patrons to save their money and visit authentic sushi restaurants that value fresh fish and quality dishes. In Toronto, places like New Generation Sushi or Sushi on Bloor offer a far superior experience. Unfortunately, the good people of Thunder Bay, with limited options, deserve better than this so-called sushi place, which is nothing more than an imposter. My first sushi restaurant experience here was truly disappointing.
Shockingly, it took them half an hour to prepare these dismal dishes, which any child could replicate by watching YouTube. It seems they lack a real chef or any discernible cooking skills. It appears to be a business focused purely on monetary gain through sushi marketing. Next time, I plan to try Wasabi on Arthur Street and hope for a genuine restaurant-quality experience with proper flavors...
Read moreI don’t recommend eating here, Sushi Station..
So after a whole week of college exams a couple friends and I decided to go out and celebrate to have sushi.. you know like a little expensive dinner type thing.. So the night started off fine service was good until my friend had ordered steamed vegetables as she was vegetarian. My friend then started eating and she looked down at her plate and spit out her food. I then looked at her and questioned her why she spit it out? She told me to take a look at her plate, and there were worms in her veggies.. Maggot looking thing and not to mention there wasn’t only 1 there were multiple. As soon as I gave a grossed out glare, and before I could even get a picture, the girl came, grabbed the plate from me as we had mentioned what had happened… As from there they made us pay full price and while I was paying the girl was very rude, and all we had gotten was a Sorry…
I ended up leaving after.. seeing that as I lost my appetite, and it’s sad because I love sushi I just couldn’t imagine what other things had bugs in it and I can tell you it definitely was not worth the money I put into it tonight…
I will never return again..
Verrry horrible and health unit will be called in the morning…
0/10 for sure, a sorry...
Read moreMy husband and I went for a last minute dinner, knowingly going with the understanding it would be busy (Friday night around 6). My husband dropped his chopsticks on the ground, and we had to ask 3 times for a new set. I understand being busy, but it is still your job to be on things and maintain the restaurant. We had to continually ask for fresh water as well (which was warm may I add). Sushi was 10/10, as always. Ordered a miso soup and got it entirely cold. I couldn’t even eat it. Our waiter seemed rude, or overworked. Nobody asked how our food was or if we needed absolutely anything. Again, I will add the only time we got water refilled was when we asked. We also asked 3 times for more soy sauce.. The table beside us had a PILE of plates stacked up-maybe they got lots of food I understand that, but it’s staff job to collect them appropriately… Thanks anyways guys, not recommended on a busy night. Normally mediocre service when...
