Disappointing Service Experience at this A&W

I recently visited this A&W location, and the service was frustrating to say the least. The girl who took my order got it wrong. I ordered a Beyond Meat meal with a side of poutine, but she insisted I didn’t order a meal and charged me separately for the poutine, which is supposed to be part of the meal. I’m not sure if it was a language barrier or just a lack of attention, but it was very annoying. To make things worse, this location charges extra for grilled onions, while other A&W locations don’t.

The wait was far too long—about 15 minutes—and I didn’t have time to argue. The girl taking my order was firm that I hadn’t ordered a meal, which added to the frustration.

Another issue is that the service at this location seems to be getting worse. The staff seems more interested in listening to Gujarati songs in the kitchen and gossiping than actually focusing on the customers. It’s disappointing when the staff can’t get basic orders right because they’re too distracted. I won’t be coming back to this location...

If you're going to have someone working the cash and they have to take your name for your order they should understand common North American names. I have a very common name but the woman on the cash looked at me like I was from another planet, asked me twice to repeat it and finally I had to spell it. She misspelled my girifriend's name ridiculously too.

The music they play here is horrible, all songs with singers belting out long exaggerated notes like they are all on America's Got Talent. Seriously painful to listen to.

Burnt bacon with the breakfast, both mornings I came here.

I won't be back. All of the other A&W's in the area are better. The one at Avenue and Eglinton, even though it's not a full A&W is far better. The one further north on Avenue is much better because you get your root beer in a frosted glass which makes it much tastier and even ices up a bit after poured. Heck even the one in the food court in the Yonge-Eg Centre...

I would like to take this opportunity to promote this wonderful "A & W" Location. The staff that are on board are always amazing in welcoming each and every customer with the highest regard as well as making sure each and every order that is served is done with love and care. The atmosphere here is very homey and they keep it sparkling clean at all times. You can tell they enjoy working here because they devote their time to make sure the customers are always happy and content with their food choices. Everyone of the staff shows great respect and caring for one another as they work together as a team. I love coming here and recommend this place to everyone because you will never be...
