Today was my second time here and sadly, my last time. The food was okay and nothing special about service. Food was ordered and food was brought to the table. That's it. The quantity was little compared to what we paid for. $33 kalbi got us 3 pieces of meat. The korean sausage soup and busan pork soup are the same broth, just different toppings. The main reason for not coming again might be controversial as it relates to tip. As mentioned, the food was okay. I paid without tipping and as we were about to leave, the waiter/cashier asked why did we not tip and if there was any issue with the food. There was no problem with the food but the cashier made it sound like a tip is required for not having issues. I replied a tip is not mandatory. To which, they replied, it is good manners to tip. Whether intended or not, I felt they wanted to say I don't have manners. But in which world, paying extra money for bringing your food is good manners? That is just irresponsible financial logic. Anywho, kudos to my buddy who gave the waiter a $20 to not make it more awkward for them, as I was going to stand my ground. The location and atmosphere...

First, I’m admitting the food is decent. Then, let’s talk about service. For the record, this is at around 1-2pm, 1/11/2025. The one and only lady server was serving us. I was late so that when I arrive, my other friends were almost done with 2 rounds of side dishes(3 small plates each round), we asked for another round, and she rudely refused us. We ordered 5 main total, I don’t understand why when there ware two ppl, they could order two rounds of side dish and the four of us could only have the same. My friend told me when they started to order, the server was impatient, they were hesitating for a couple sec whiling ordering, the server was very impatient and said “call me again when you are ready”. When we asked for the bill, she came and asked “how was everything?” We were pretty surprised, she did not realize we were pretty unhappy for the service. If you don’t mind being given attitude, please come. Regardless of how good the food is, we are not coming back. I’d rather it’s all self serve. If she’s the owner or representing the owner, I have nothing to say. If she’s just a server, please let her know. Terrible,...

I really don’t understand how this restaurant got high score on reviews. I ordered 3 meals for 3 people, but they just gave us 3 side dishes at very small plates. I was a bit disappointed but tried to understand because of recent inflation. However, I was more disappointed at the amount of food. Taste was not that bad, the amount of food was….. I don’t know what to say. Pork soup had few pieces of pork, and Korean sausage soup also had less sausage than I expected. More shocking one was vegetable ssambap. I only got rice, soybean soup, soybean sauce and few vegetables - lettuce and steamed cabbage, and surprisingly its price was $19 before tax. I spend almost $70 today including tax and tips, but my satisfactory was the lowest. I will never recommend this restaurant any of my friends in the future, I hope anyone who wants to visit here should read all reviews, especially low points. I should’ve read past reviews before...

Very good, fresh and tasty food plus friendly attentive service at Ahzimae ZipBap at dinner January 2019. Authentic traditional flavours with the spicy noodles with skate and the mackerel ssam, even the tea tasted like roasted barley as it should. A round of free refills on the side dishes was nice. Well attended by Koreans which speaks well to the food, service and value. Merely functional interior but they had cool Korean pop music playing. Tiny parking lot means people get "innovative" especially after a record snowfall cramps things up. Heads up that it is only cash or debit. I hope to return to try more dishes. Enjoy!

My mom and I decided to come here a few weeks ago! We fell in love instantly. The food was great, hands down. But the employees were absolutely amazing. They were sooo nice! Their attitude, personality, humbleness, respectfulness, everything! It was my first time but they were so patient and appreciative. They gave us great recommendations and different options that customers loved before! We ended up trying the ‘Spicy Pork’ with the ‘Original Makarel’. They gave us the ‘Bean Paste Soup’ as a side which were perfect portions as a side. We finished it perfectly, every scoop! Definitely would recommend to anyone and everyone.
