I have been coming to al deewan since they opened on keneddy and ellesmere. The lady who worked at the original location would always give us free tomatoes and cucumbers with our manaqeesh at the start. Since this new location opened it has gone down hill a bit. Long wait times and unorganized order management sometimes but thats all okay. Sadly the last time we visited 10 minutes after zaatar day ended (12:10am) we were told we cant get zaatars at the special because it was thursday now. I have come here at 4am and they have still honored the deal for me in the past and this is not what arabs are like. It’s a shame because i have been coming here since zaatar day was $1, but after being denied i dont think I will be able to come back here. It’s not about the money its about the experience of always coming anytime on wednesday and getting zaatars for the week from aldeewan and that being a family tradition, but being denied this time was very unlike the people who started this place at least and very unlike the culture and what you’ll experience at any arab restaurant. It was a shock to be denied at 12:10am and being told “sorry it’s thursday” and i wish it hadn’t happened and it’s not to save $5-10, it’s because finding a manaqeesh place that maintains a homely feeling after getting big is...
Read moreAl Deewan (Manakeesh) Bakery is Labanese cuisine and specializes in Manakeesh.
📝🚗 Bunch of free parking space within the parking lot if you go there during the day. During the evenings and nights, it gets pretty busy.
🥘☕️ This place specializes in Halal Lebanese cuisine. We've been here multiple times and have ordered various Manakeesh from: (1) sujuk & cheese, (2) pepperoni, (3) beef shawarma, (4) meat lover, (5) Muhammara & cheese, (6) Rocket Pepperoni, and more!
The prices range form $6-20 depending on the size and type of manakeesh you get, but it's always made fresh and hot right infront of your eyes!
🕑 It's open 24hrs so its amazing for a late night craving or even a quick bite!
🌿✨️ The aesthetics of this place I think plays hommage to Lebanon, as they sell specific products from there like gum, sweets, and other snacks.
🤍 Customer service is good. We've dined in and even taken it to go. If you do decide to dine in, there isn't much seatings so keep note of that when coming in with...
