I've been with TD for over 2 decades. Id give 0 stars if I could Im in the process of closing all my TD accounts and moving to another bank due to a narcissistic bully manager. Someone called in that their card was lost, somehow my card which was in my pocket, got shut down. I called in and was told to go to a branch, they'd set me up with a card immediately. I went to the Roncey branch as it's closest, the teller was great and was about to set me up with a card, but my mistake was asking why my card was closed. It wasn't fraud, just an error really But the manager he called over took it upon herself to treat me like a criminal. I've been treated like that at my bank before, by her, but no one else ever. Inconsistencies.... because I couldn't remember which branch I opened this account at 20+ years ago? I recited my sin, had my pin codes, showed my id, knew where my sdb was, and on and on.... yet she chose to bully me and deny me access to my account. Took me less than five minutes at the bloor runnymede branch, for a competent teller and manager, to set me up with a new card and, they treated me civilly, politely and professionally. I cannot reward such reprehensible behaviour. Shes done this before, will continue to, and quite honestly the branch allows it, she should be fired for her behaviour, but she's done it for so long, it is accepted. People quit bad managers, we also quit bad bank...
Read moreI would give this five stars as the staff have always been unfailingly friendly and helpful. But Wednesday I went to deposit cash from a local fundraiser (I had put up the float) that the volunteer told me was $500. When the teller took the cash she counted $490. Thing was she did the strangest method of counting, and she did it under the counter where it was hard for me to see. I asked her to count again. Same result $490. But again she did it out of my line of sight and in some bizarre way. So I asked her to have a colleague count it. WOW was she pissed at me. (She wasn’t exactly warm to begin with). Her manager counted it properly, right in front of me and indeed it was $10 short. She was beyond mad at me at this point. So she was right, the customer is WRONG. You win Miss Teller. But in future when I go to the bank and I will return because it’s usually a great experience, I will wait for a different teller . PAULA you are in...
Read moreI would highly recommend others bank elsewhere as this branch is well below the standard of service you will receive at other locations. Without getting into specifics, during my transaction there was the necessity of having manager approval, the manager provided the teller very poor rationale for his decision which was "up to his discretion" with no further assistance or positive solutions to the deposit issue I was working with. At this time of year, with the year we are having, there were only poor answers as to why I was unable to perform my standard procedure. After being at TD for almost 15 years in multiple cities, this was by far the worst customer service I have received and if you are with TD, I'd recommend a longer walk to one of their...
